Chapter 27: Memories in the Mist!

Also, there will be a surprise in this chapter. The names of Alex's great grandparents are Harvey, (great grandfather), and Emilia, (great grandmother). Alex will even discover a secret regarding his great grandmother!]

It was early November in the Alola region, and the winter winds had come early this year. And it looks like we were in for a chance for snow.

(French Narrator): Ah, observe the majesty of the mighty iceberg. This frozen giant, normally found floating in polar regions, can sometimes stray into warmer waters, causing dramatic changes in climate for tropical, undersea life. And when this occurs, it is likely to be followed by winter winds and storms/weather for both People and Pokémon.

At my home, I was just sitting on my bed talking to Coral when the weather people on the weather channel started talking.

(Weatherman #1): Yes, it seems Old Man Winter paid us a visit late last night, and he brought with him not a pillow or a sheet, but a blanket... a blanket of snow!

(Alex & Coral): *looking out the window* Wow! Awesome!

(Weatherman #1): Yes, from the Alolan beaches & forests, to residential abodes, to bustling downtown... it's nothing but the white stuff.

(Alex): Woohoo! Snow day!

(Weatherman #1): And local residents are taking notice!

(Alex): I can't believe it; snow, on the 3rd of November!

(Coral): I know; it's been a long while since it last snowed in Alola. I'll go tell the others.

(Alex): And I better open the window and brush away some of this snow.

After I opened the window, I started brushing some of the snow away when I suddenly remembered something.

(Alex): Now I remember. I remember that my great grandparents use to visit me whenever it was Christmas. But now that they're gone... *sighs* I don't think I'll ever see them again. And there's no way I can my grandparents. I just wish I could properly apologise to my great grandparents for not saying goodbye to them. *sighs*

I then closed the window and went downstairs to make myself some breakfast. However, unbeknownst to me, a certain someone had been secretly eavesdropping on me.

(Tapu Fini): Hmm...

During breakfast, Gengar noticed that I was hardly eating anything. The reason why was because I still had my great grandparents on my mind.

(Gengar): Alex? Are you okay? You've hardly eaten anything.

(Alex): *sighs* It's just... I really miss my great grandparents. I wish I could've said goodbye to them properly.

(Gengar): Hmm... Hey, here's an idea; what if later today, we visit Poni Island and see if Tapu Fini can help us?

I definitely liked that idea.

(Alex): That's actually a really good idea. But for now, maybe we should finish breakfast.

We eventually finished breakfast, and went about most of the morning. All the while, I was still stressing over my great grandparents.
