Maria Clara at Ibarra (Filay) Fidel x Klay

Chapter 7:

Klay POV

I yawn as I open my eyes and feel something touch my hand. Fidel is sleeping on the chair next to me when I turn to my left. I notice that we are holding hands when I look down. HUH?? How did this happen? I take my hand away from his slowly so as not to disturb him. I go up and gently wake him. I call his name and wave my hand in front of his face. "Sir Fidel Gising na po." "Sir..hello?? good morning" I moved my face closer to him so that he would hear me since he wasn't getting any more awake. "Sir.. gising na po".

Fidel POV

"Sir.. gising na po" Klay's face is in front of mine when I open my eyes. Our faces were so close together that I could feel her breath touching my skin, The urge to just... nevermind. We stayed in that position for a good minute until she pulled herself away. She didn't say anything after that, she then walked towards her closet to grab her clothes and change. "Miss Klay, before I leave the room, may I ask how you're wound is doing?" She replied, "The Pain is bearable" I nodded and went out of her room. I walk downstairs to eat breakfast and I see Ibarra already eating by himself. I join him and he asked me a question that startleld me.

Ibarra: "Fidel, Ikaw ba ay umiibig Kay binibining Klay?"

Fidel: "Paano mo nasabi iyon, Ibarra?"

Ibarra: "magkahawak Ang kamay ninyo habang natutulog kayo"

Fidel: "oh. I wasn't aware of that"

Ibarra: "So, do you like he-"

Klay comes in the dining area

"Good morning Sir Ibarra"

"Morning miss Klay"

3rd person POV

Klay took her utensils and started to eat the food Mang Adong prepared for them. A while later after they ate the 2 escorted Fidel to the front door since he's going back to his company building. A while later after Fidel left, Ibarra goes outside for a short walk going towards the land he's going to build the school on. Klay waits for about 10 minutes after Ibarra leaves so he wouldn't see her leave the house. When she was finally out she walks towards the town where Everyone is mostly at. Whilst walking she bumps into a person causing the other person to fall down.

Klay: "Pasensya na po..."

Klay recognized his face immediately. He's the same guy that tried to kill her that night. Padre Salvi. Padre Salvi stood up and started to get mad and shout and Klay. Maria Clara oversees this from not that far and walks towards the commotion happing together with Tiya Isabel.

MC: "Padre, ano ho Ang ginawa ng Babae?"

PS: "Sinaktan Niya ako!"

Klay: "Sinaktan? Ikaw nga Yung sumaksak sakin eh."

PS: "Ano Ang pinagsasabi mo?"

MC: "Padre, kung Wala naman siyang ginawa na masama. Itigil niyo na po ang iyong pagsisigaw at may maraming tao na tumitingin saatin."

PS fortunately stopped shouting and left the scene.

MC asks Klay if she's alright. Klay nodded her head.

MC takes a good look at her face and recognized her.

MC: "Ang pangalan niyo Po ay Klay? Tama Po ba ako?"

Klay: "opo, Paano niyo Po nalaman?"

MC: "Ikaw ay Ang pinsan Ng nobyo ko, si Crisostomo Ibarra"

Klay: "ahhh... Ikaw si Maria Clara!!"

MC: "Maaari ba tayong pumunta Kay Ibarra Ngayon?"

Klay was hesitant to accept the invitation to go with Maria Clara to Ibarra's house. But she accepted anyways.

Klay: "Sige Po"

MC, Klay and Tiya Isabel arrives at Ibarra's house

They see Ibarra talking to Mang Adong about something that made Ibarra worry. Once Ibarra looked to his left he saw the 3 women and greeted them. Klay, MC and Ibarra had a small conversation about Klay and Ibarra and why Ibarra hasn't told MC about Klay. Ibarra made up an excuse "Nalaman ko na Siya ay ang akin pinsan nung nakarating ako dito muli sa Las Pilipinas." Klay smiles at MC to give her the sign that what Ibarra said was true.

MC also told Ibarra about what happened between PS and Klay earlier. MC then excused herself and Tiya Isabel out of the house after having that wonderful conversation.
When MC left, Ibarra immediately changed his tone in speaking when he told Klay "Nasaan ka nanaman pumunta? Muntik ka na masaksak ulit Kay Padre Salvi!"

Klay: "And since when did you care about me? didn't you say that I'm ruining things for you and Maria Clara?"

Ibarra: "Miss Klay, Ikaw Ay Ang "pinsan" ko. Ano Ang mangyayari pag nawala ka bigla? Baka madamay ako Kay Maria Clara dahil Sayo!"

Klay: "How? Can't you just say that I went back to my hometown?"

Ibarra: "Maria Clara or even some of her relatives might try and find you. If they find out we're not actually cousins, they might force my wedding with Maria Clara off."

Klay: "ah. So this is about you and your relationship with Maria Clara. Okay. I won't be here forever anyways."

Klay runs out of the house sobbing. She then walked to Fidel's company so she could stay somewhere for the night before she leaves this world.

Fidel notices at the corner of his eye, a woman who looked like she'd been bawling her eyes out. He walked closer and saw that this crying girl was actually Klay.

Klay walked towards him and told him everything that just happened. Fidel isn't the type of person to comfort someone other than his best friend, Ibarra. He didn't know how to comfort Klay especially since he has mixed feelings for her. He then remembered how Ibarra would always comfort Maria Clara, he would hug her whenever she was crying or she was scared.

Without second thoughts he hugged Klay and Klay hugged back. Klay felt at ease knowing that there's someone in this world that truly cared for her. She again started to cry. This time she didn't know if it was tears of joy or saddness. She dug her face into his chest and hugged him tightly. Fidel was surprised with her actions that it lit up something new inside him, a feeling he has never felt before with anyone.
