Alex's pov
We were once again in Sikowitz's class. Camille was leaning against me and put her head on my shoulder. I gave her a simple pat on the head and she gave me a sideway smile. As we turned our attention back to class Cat was telling another one of her stories.
"One time my brother painted part of his body purple."
"Why did your brother paint his body purple?" Robbie asked.
"He had a job interview. He didn't get it." She grinned.
The bell rang announcing that class was over.
"Wait!" Sikowitz called out.
"Are you interested in seeing the cast list for a little play called 'Steamboat Susie'?" He teasingly asked.
Everyone mumbled in agreement.
As he pulled away Jade spoke up: "I got the lead right?"
"Pardon?"
"I'm playing Susie. Right?" She pressed further.
Sikowitz only had one solution for this. Which was running away as fast as he can and leaving the cast list behind.
Jade walked up and picked up the list.
"Did you get the lead?" Cat innocently asked.
Jade didn't respond she just crumbled the paper and kicked a chair.
"I don't think she got it." Andre chimed in.
Cami got up and put a comforting arm around Jade. And used her other hand to gently comb through her hair.
