***Kyle's POV***
I fixed my tux and the little black ribbon on the middle of my outfit. I was inside the men's bathroom getting ready for the ultimate surprise.
"Kyle, Josh is already handing the first rose to Natalia. Are you ready?" Dave, my best friend asked me as I sighed, nodding.
Josh is the guy I gave the first rose too. I told him to hand it to Natalia after her class. At first he complained but I told him I would give him five bucks to give it to Natalia and he agreed.
"Dude, are you nervous?" my other best friend, Ian asked me as he fixed the hat on top of his head.
"Who wouldn't be?" I said, obviously. I sat on the sink and looked down to the floor. "I'm just afraid she'll reject me again. I mean, she's done it a thousand times! Okay maybe I'm exaggerating," I explained exasperedly.
"Don't worry, Kyle. Just think that everything will be okay. Right now, worry about your looks! You look hot already but I need you hotter! So that you can blow her mind, dude! What do ya think? Hmmm?" he exclaimed, raising his eyebrows twice. I sighed nodding.
I like Ian cause he's the greatest friend ever, but there are times when he seems gay to me. I laugh in my head in the mere thought of Ian gay.
"So let's get started with your....hair," he said, bringing out my comb from my backpack. He also took out gel and other hair products. Whoa! I'm thinking he is gay.
"Dude, are you gay?" I asked, incredolously.
"What? No, of course not! These are my sister's! But the gel and men products are obviously mine," Ian explained, smirking slightly at me.
"Your sister's? Who, Katy?" I ask, Ian's sister's face flashes in my head.
"Yep. But don't worry these are harmless," he said reassuringly.
After making me hotter by Ian, I look at myself in the mirror and grin.
"Thanks Ian. You did make me hotter than a sun on a summer day," I said, shaking his hand and giving him a bro hug.
"You're welcome," Ian replied, smirking at my appearance. "Now go! Your damsel in distress is waiting for you! She's in the seventh rose already," he explained, pushing me to the door.
I nodded at him before heading out.
It's time.
***Natalia's POV***
As Sandra and Sarah drag me to God knows where, I thought about Kyle. How he really showed he loved me. I remember all the times we spended. He helped me. He was always there for me.
But when he fell in love with me, things got complicated. I mean, I never expected him to love me. I never expected this to happen. I just made the biggest mistake of rejecting him, every single time.
Maybe I am a bad person. I always shut people out because I'm afraid of what's gonna happen. I've been shutting people out of my life ever since....
"Hey Talia! We're here," Sandra told me, breaking me out of my train of thoughts.
I looked around me and noticed we were in the school's ornamental garden. Me and Kyle always go here when we were bored or sad...
Hays...
"What are we doing here, guys?" I ask them both. They smile creepily at me. It looks like they planned something...
"Guys cut it out. That's really creepy you know," I said, glaring at them.
"Wait! Come here. Let's go to those flowers over there! They look great don't they?" Sarah says, dragging me over there.
We look at the flowers for awhile. Then, Sarah picks a red rose up and smells it. "Mmm...smells beautiful. But do you see that? A note!" Sarah exclaims, grinning as she hands it to me.
I raise my one eyebrow at her as I accept the rose. I carefully remove the letter from the rose's stem and open it. It said..
Dear, Natalia
All the times I spended with you.
All the heartbreaks and sadness.
All the happiness I felt every moment we spended together.
All the love I gave to you.
It was worth it.
I may be trying too hard to win your heart and I understand if you don't love me. But, I'm hoping you can give me a chance. To start a new chapter in your life. To have a part 2. And that is being with you. Spending my whole life with you. I know that maybe that can't even be true, but who said wishing was a crime?
I may not be a guy who's first name is 'Drew' or who's last name is 'Knight' but I can be your prince. And if that's too much, I can be your knight and shining armor.
