Trying to survive in a place like Night City, a city obsessed with technology and body modifications can be next to impossible for some people, so those people make do by becoming an Edgerunner, a mercenary outlaw, otherwise known as a Cyberpunk
We begin this chapter the next day with Y/n as he was sleeping on the chair that he was operated on by Vik, said doctor currently sitting in a chair located at far end of the room and watching a boxing match on a computer screen but hearing the sound of Y/n sitting up, he turned away from the screen and looked to Y/n, a relieved smile appearing on his face
Vik: "Hey, you're finally awake. How you feeling?"
Y/n: "Just peachy, thanks for patching me up, Vik. I owe you one"
Hearing this got a small chuckle from Vik as he stood up and walked over to the edgerunner who was now getting out of the chair
Vik: "You can thank me by doing two things. Don't go picking fights with anymore Cyberpsychos, and by paying your medical bill"
Y/n chuckled himself and nodded his head before his eyes lit up and transferred a thousand Eddies to Vik for fixing him up, something that Vik nodded his head at with a smile and gestured to the stairs that lead up from the basement that he worked out of
Vik: "That girl you were with, she got a call from someone and had to leave an hour ago. She stayed here the whole night, despite me saying that wasn't necessary"
Y/n: "Oh really? Thanks for putting up with her Vik, she's not the most talkative or friendly person so if she was rude, sorry about that"
Vik: "Nah, she was quiet as a mouse, forgot she was even here a couple times, just sat by your side most of the time until she slept"
Hearing this, a small smile was on Y/n's face as Vik had a smile of his own as he gestured to the door again
Vik: "Anyway, I won't keep you, just don't go fighting anymore Cyberpsychos"
Y/n: "I'll try, but no promises"
The two chuckled before Y/n made his way up the stairs and into the alleyway before he walked through the backdoor of a shop that Misty owned and operated herself. Currently she was on her own but hearing the backdoor open, she turned to see him and had a friendly smile on her face upon seeing the edgerunner as he walked around to the front of the counter
Misty: "Morning Y/n, good to see you're up and walking again. How are you feeling?"
Y/n: "Like I got hit by a car, but I'll live. How's things here? Give any readings lately?"
Misty: "A couple, I gave your friend one too, would you like one?"
Y/n: "Sure, I guess I could go for a reading, just one card though, that alright?"
Misty: "Sure, that's fine with me"
Misty then handed Y/n a deck of cards before he started to shuffle them and then handed the deck back to Misty as she pulled the first card and then flipped it around, revealing it to be the Knight of Wands and placed upright
