The three of them started searching the flower. It should be visible right now since it's in the middle of the night and the flower itself was glowing like a sun.
Little did they know, they were being watched. Aura felt something or rather, someone is watching them. He can feel the heated stare, burning holes at them and when he looked around, it's rather dim since the Moon is the only source of their light.
"Can you feel that?" He heard his husband said to him and he nodded.
"Someone is watching us." Aura warned them and the three of them immediately stood with their guard, alert as they could be when they saw silhouettes moved.
They looked around and Thadeus gritted his teeth and immediately struck the enemy down with his famous lightning bolts, successfully killing it while the two looked at him.
"Murks." He hissed and then, one by one, Murks appeared in front of them.
The three of them immediately fought, attacking each of the Murks that approached them.
Aura summoned Lucid and started aiming for the Murks far from them while Thadeus struck them one by one. Saga gathered his powers and made his arms iron steel. His ability to manipulate metal, one of the strongest element in the world is surely helpful in both physical combat and magic.
But knowing that Murks had the ability to turn them stone, he summoned another surge of power creating an axe as his weapon. The handle was made of steel and the blades of his axe was sharp, it can cut anything.
He started swaying the heavy axe and immediately, killing four of the Murks successfully. He trotted against the incoming Murks and immediately attacked them.
"Aura!"
"What?" Aura replied as he heard Thadeus called his name. He shot three arrows then piercing them through the Murks ahead of him.
"Go find the flower, we'll handle this." Thadeus grunted whilst eletrocuting a bunch of Murks.
"Are you sure?" Aura asked.
"Yes, now go!" Thadeus exclaimed running to the other side to distract the Murks.
Aura didn't waste any time and immediately ran inside the ruins. Boulders were so many that it was like maze for him to enter. He turned left, and then right, then right went straight then turned left and so on. It was a never ending maze.
He was currently running, panting when be saw in his peripheral vision that a bunch of Murks are following him behind.
"Shit." He cussed momentarily stopping on his tracks and turned his body towards them. He pulled an arrow towards them and summoned his magic to boost the arrow. When he released the arrow, it flew towards the creatures and they stopped, frozen. Aura fired a regular arrow until it pierced through the frozen statues and shattered them like a sheet of glass.
When he felt like someone is coming, he aimed his arrow into the path only to sigh in relief when he saw Thadeus and Saga approaching him.
"Let's go." He said to the two lowering his weapon.
The three ran through the ruins until they found themselves at the very end of the maze. They entered a rather spacious area of the ruins.
"This must be the center of the ruins." Aurora told them and they nodded.
"Guys, look!" Thadeus and Aura looked towards where Saga pointed his finger.
Their eyes were wide when the saw a glowing flowing at the center of the area.
