'Good morning daddy.' I say to my dad who already started making breakfast for Eva as I walk down the stairs.
'Good morning princes,' He says as he looks up from making toast. 'had a good sleep?'
'Yes, but I woke up early to write a letter for mommy. And I also want to help making breakfast for Eva.'
'That's sweet of you. You can help me with the scrambled eggs if you want to.'
'Okay.'
I walk up to my dad who shows me step by step how to make scrambled eggs. When we're done with the eggs I walk up to the kitchen-table to write a small letter to Eva.

Good morning Eva,
Happy happy Mother's Day!! It's your second Mother's Day with us and I want to so something more than last year, so I made you breakfast together with daddy. I want to say sorry for maybe giving you the feeling that I don't like you, because I do like you. You really were there for me and daddy when we needed you the most and I want to thank you for that. We both love you!
Lots of love, your "sort of daughter", Emmily

'What do you think?' I ask my dad as I show him the letter.
'Cute.' he chuckles before even reading it.
'Me or the letter?'
'You of course. Let me see.'
I give him the tissue I wrote the letter on and he smiles while reads it.
'And?' I ask him.
'It's perfect honey.'
'Are you sure? Or are you only saying that because I'm your daughter?'
'I'm sure. She will definitely love it!'
'Really?'
'Of course! She really loves you and I think she would be very happy to read that you love her too!'
'I guess you're right.'
'Of course I am! i'm your dad!' he laughs and sticks out his tongue.
I roll my eyes and laugh along with him. 'Maybe we should bring Eva her breakfast, before the eggs get cold.'
'Yes, let's do that.'
My dad places the letter next to the glass of orange juice and lifts up the tray. I slowly walk up the stairs with my dad behind me. When we stand in front of my father's and Eva's room I knock on the door.
I hear Eva's clear voice at the other side of the door, 'Who's there?'
I slowly open the door and look inside the room, 'It's us.' I whisper.
Eva smiles as she sees me and my dad with the tray full of food. I walk into the room and sit down on the kingsized bed, next to Eva. My dad closes the door with his foot and walks up to the bed too.
'Good morning Eva!' I say with a smile on my face. 'Happy Mother's Day!'
'Thank you sweetheart.' she smiles to me.
Then I realize I forgot something, the flowers! I need to get them, but I don't want to give Eva the feeling that I'm only here because daddy told me to. 'Emh,' I start.
'What's wrong honey?' my dad asks.
'Well, I kinda forgot something on my room. Can I please get it now?'
'Of course you can, hurry up!' he says with a wink.
I smile to him as a sign of thanks and then jumps off the bed to run to my room. When I enter my room my eye catches the letter on my writing-desk with the flowers next to it. I walk up to the flowers and carefully take three out of the bouquet. I look at the flowers and smile, they are perfect! I walk back to my dad and Eva with the flowers behind my back. When I walk in the room they stop talking and look at me.
'What have you got behind you back?' Eva asks curiously.
'A little present for you.' I say shyly. 'First read my letter!'
'Okay.'
She looks at the tray and finds my letter next to the glass of juice. I start to feel kinda awkward. I loved to write and I loved it even more if people wanted to read it, but it's always to embarrassing when they read it while you're around. Even though I wrote this to her while I knew she would read it with me around, it's still awkward. I mean, maybe I was wrong, maybe she just acts like she loves me because of my dad. She starts to read the letters and smiles. That's a good sign right? Or does she smile because I'm so stupid and ignorant? That's a weird thought I guess. She looks up from the letter and gives me a kiss on my forehead, 'I love you too sweetheart.' she whispers.
I smile at her and show her the flowers. 'I bought a bouquet of these for my mom, but I thought you deserved them too.'
I give her the letters and she gives me an other forehead kiss followed by a hug. 'Thank you Emmily, I will take good care of them!'
I smile awkwardly at her and then look at my dad who has a bright smile drawed on his face.

After we ate the food my dad and I prepared we went downstairs watch a movie. While I was picking a movie Eva was putting the flowers in a vase.
'Where do you want me to put them?' she asks me with the vase in her hands.
I point at the little table next to the couch, 'Over there.'
'Okay.'
'And, what movie are we going to watch?' my dad asks as he stands next to me.
'This one!'
I show him the movie I want to watch and he nods, 'Okay, let's watch this movie then.'
I put the other DVDs back in the TV cabinet and stand up with daddy's help. I run to the couch while my dad puts the DVD in the player.
'Do you want to sit in the middle?' I ask Eva. 'It's your day today.'
She laughs to me and nods, 'I would love to.'
My dad and Eva both sit down on the couch too.
'What movie are we going to watch?' Eva asks me.
'Cinderella!' I say with a big smile on my face.
'Nice.'

After the movie finished we went outside to make a little walk together. It was something before eleven and grandma would be here at twelve for me, so we had all the time.
'Can we go to the playground dad?' I ask him with puppy eyes.
My dad looks at me and laughs as he sees my face, 'Of course we can.'
'Yay.'
I start running and I hear my dad and Eva laughing behind me. When I enter the playground I see some kids I know from school.
'Hi.' I say.
Some of the girls turn around and wave as they see me.
'Hi.' They say synchronized.
I walk up to them and see they are playing with a dog.
'How cute.' I say as I kneel down next to them to play with the dog too.
'I know right.' Sam smiles.
I look behind me and see daddy and Eva at the edge of the playground looking at me while talking. I wave to them and they both wave back.my dad points at one of the benches at the other side of the playground to tell me I can find them there when I'm done playing. I nod to make clear I understood what they meant and continue playing with the dog.
