I stand up and my legs start to shake. Brandon walks up to me and puts my right arm around his shoulders. "Lean on me." He says but I shake my head.
"I can walk Brandon. I didn't break a bone or anything." I huff and put my arm back at my side and move one step away from him. My legs are still shaking but I try to to take a step forward.
When I succeed I smirk at Brandon. "Told you." I say and we both keep on walking in the direction of the cabins.
My words make him roll his and slowly clap. "Bravo. Want a medal?"
"I would love one." I roll with his sarcasm.
Before he can say anything else we reach the cabin. I hear a voice coming from inside and I can tell its Liam, it sounds like he's talking to himself.
I look at Brandon. "Maybe I should talk to him alone."
"Are you sure you aren't going to do anything else besides talking?" He playfully smirks.
I punch him in the arm. "Shut up Brandon and go find Rebecca I'm sure she could use some company."
He stands up straight and salutes me in a mocking manner. "Sure thing captain." He turns around and walks away.
I roll my eyes and open the door to see Liam pacing from one side of the room to the other. He looks distressed. "Please don't be dead. Please don't be dead." He continuously repeats to himself.
I take a step into the cabin and close the door. I don't say anything because I don't want to disturb him.
I look him over. His muscles are tense under his clothes and something on his hand catches my eyes. It's another tattoo of a scale. That's weird I've never seen it before.
I clear my throat to try and get his attention but he doesn't even look up when he says, "Go away. I don't want to talk to anyone."
I turn around and open the door. "I guess I'll see you later then."
I turn around and just as I'm about to take a step out the door two muscular arms wrap tightly around my body making my back crash against Liam's body. "You're okay." He leans down and whispers into my ear. His warm breath on my skin causes me to shiver.
"Yea I'm ok. But I won't be for much longer if you don't let my go. You're crushing me Liam." Instead of letting me go her loosens his grip turns me around so I'm facing him. I'm so short his arms compared to him that his arms around my shoulders and my head is rest against a his chest.
I tilt my head up to look into his eyes. I see that they're filled with a million emotions. Sadness, guilt and worry are just a few. "I'm so glad you're ok."
I smile. "Me too, " And as much as I hate to admit I like being in his arms.
He starts to lean down.
Oh my God! Is he going to kiss me? I hope he does.
What? Did I seriously think that? His lips are a few inches away from mine when the door slams open and a female voice yells my name.
Rebecca.
Of course it's her.
