Chapter 27: Realization

(Oh btw forgot to say, it skipped 1 month after the "Goodbye" Chapter)

After everyone made it up with each other, they decided to hangout a bit. Rush hung out with Ambush, Jack hung out with Hide, Seek hung out with Figure, Halt hung out with Eyes, and Screech hung out with Timothy. After all those apologies had been given, Screech noticed something off about Rush and figured he might as well ask him what was going on.

 "Hey, you okay?" He asked curiously, moving closer to where Rush was standing in front of a mirror. Rush flinched slightly before looking at Screech. "Yeah... Yeah... Everything's alright... I'm fine now..." Rush replied, smiling softly. 

Screech didn't believe that for a second though. He could see through that smile easily. "Really, Screech. I'm alright. Really... I promise, nothing has changed." "Hmm, okay.. Whatever you say..." Screech gave in, still unconvinced but willing to drop it anyway.

Rush sighed slowly while watching himself in the mirror. His expression started to change every few seconds as he stared at himself intently. He looked lost in thought, as if he were trying to make sense of some sort of complicated puzzle.

Screech watched silently as Rush started to fiddle with his hands nervously. He was acting weird. Rush was always so confident in his appearance and or how he acted. Though now, he seems to be acting a bit... off.

Suddenly, without noticing, Rush had moved away from the mirror. He took a step forward then paused. The look on his face seemed almost as if he were in pain. He then proceeded to grab his head tightly, gritting his teeth slightly, as if he were in extreme pain. His eyes started to close slowly, as the feeling gradually became weaker and weaker.

Soon enough, Rush had collapsed onto his knees in front of the mirror and closed his eyes. "I just don't understand... Who could've possibly done this?" Rush whispered. 'Yeah... I'm thinking the same thing except that I wonder why Spirit left me for no reason...' Screech thought. 

Spirit is trying to locate Shadow's location that's why 😒

'There's definitely something fishy about this..' But, before Screech could think of any possibilities, Rush let go of his head and opened his eyes.

He looked completely calm and relaxed. "I'll find out who did this. All of this." He said determined. "No matter what it takes." He declared as he stood up from the floor. He was still acting a little weird, but, at least he was going to try to figure all of this out. That was all that mattered.

Rush walked to his old room, locking the door from behind him. He had to think. Ever since the killings had started, Seek was acting a little bit suspicious. Almost like he had something to do with them. He was always gone during some of them also. And always took a little bit more of time to come back afterward.

 Something was fishy about all of this. Rush sighed heavily. 'This is all too much for me. BUT, I'm pretty sure Seek had something to do with the murders.' He thought to himself. Then. he realized something. "Spirit..." he mumbled to himself. 

"She did do something to Halt, yes, but never killed him. So Nevermind it cant be her. But what about Guiding Light? A lot of people say they are he same person, a lot of people don't. Hmm... they probably are. But what about Jack?" He mumbled. 

"Jack had suddenly been acting very.... hostile for no reason. And now he's acting nice again?" Rush pondered to himself as he paced around the room.

Suddenly, something flashed through his mind. "...He looked like he didn't want to act hostile though. Was he possibly being forced to? But why? Why would he do this? Or did he do it willingly out of boredom? Is he working for someone or for himself? What is his deal?" Rush wondered.

 He kept walking around the room, thinking. "And Timothy has been acting very weird too. Are they both working for someone?! This cant be right." He muttered.

Suddenly, his head shot straight up. "Seek... He.... what the.... I also notice that he talked with two people named Glitch and Shadow back when we were alive... " He murmured. "Wait... what does this mean?!" Rush thought frantically, his hand covering his mouth and squeezing it hard.

 "ARE THEY THE MURDERS?!" He whisper yelled. "No. No.... He wouldn't.... I need to go to sleep and think about this later." Rush told himself. As he fell asleep quickly, he hoped the thoughts he was realizing were false. Because if not... if not... he really doesn't wanna think about that.

"You'll see if you're right or not, Rush."

"You'll see."

Btw, what did Spirit do To Halt?

(Screech wasnt here yet during this)

"WEAR THE FREAKING DRESS" Spirit shouted angrily.

"NO. YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!" Halt yelled back.

Spirit wasn't having it.

She forced Halt into his room and forced him to change.

Halt had no choice.

He came out wearing the dress.

He sighed.

Everyone laughed at him.
