Part 1 chapter 10

Y/N's Point Of View
Tails and shadow ran some tests on me and they finally spoke.

"Well based on her normal check ups it turns out she can't feel a thing on her left side of the body. What amazes me is the fact that she can still do functional activities and can preform simple tasks without any problems." Tails explained.

"What happened to her that got her in that position anyways?" Sonic asked.

"I have no idea. But I took a look at her brain scan and it shows two things; one: her brain has serious damage on one of its sides that cause her left side to not feel anything at all. So whatever happened in her world, she must've hit her head very hard." Tails said.

Everyone in the room got quiet, just digesting the information. They looked at me wanting to know what happened to me in my world. I swallowed hard. I know that they deserve an explanation but it was also a hard topic to talk about. Suddenly I felt a hand gently taking mine. It was shadow. He looked concerned.

"Please Y/n, can you tell us what happened that got you into this position?" Shadow asked.

I felt a sudden sense of warmth. I realized right away that this feeling is what being cared for is like. I know I just met these people but they are the first ones that actually took the time to make sure I am fed and well. I felt warm and weird because I am not used to any sort of affection. What should I do?

Shadow's Point Of View
I held onto her hand gently. I don't what came over me. Possibly she reminds me of Maria or perhaps her presence makes me feel a certain way about her. Normally I wouldn't be this kind to strangers especially ones that are from a different planet. But I must know what happened to her back in her world, I can't let her leave tails' house without answering this question. I see her opening her mouth slowly. Dreading to answer us.

"I got.....hit by a car many years ago on earth due to being bullied..." she replied.

Our mouths dropped. I didn't expect someone like her to be targeted by others in her world. Just simply spending time with her for 30 minutes she seems innocent and sweet but not in a child like manner. Why would people want to hurt her. I see her looked down. Looking ashamed. She shouldn't feel ashamed for being hurt! I squeezed her hand gently and she looked at me.

"You have nothing to be ashamed about. You didn't do anything wrong. Thank you for telling us." I said.

She nods and smiles softly. I turn towards tails.

"What's the second thing you found tails?" I asked.

"Well, in her brain scan I also found signs that may indicate that she functions differently in regards to learning." Tails replied.

"So is she like our friend sticks?" Sonic asked.

"Not quite. Sticks has social interaction autism and adhd. Y/n here just has a learning problem that takes a little longer or learns in a different way than average people learn. Depending on a subject she may have to physically touch and see something to understand  fully. But other than that she can socialize just fine." Tails explained.

I wonder how intelligent she is? I read that people like her see the world differently and understood complicated things that common people can't understand like deeper meanings to a simple birthday or even see details on leaves that others don't spot. I bet she sees colors differently than us. More detailed than someone who is average. Which is probably why I see her looking around the room a lot. Probably taking in everything around her.

"So now we got the tests done, we should-" tails got cut off by the explosion sound outside. Sonic took a peek outside to see what's out there.

"Eggman is at it again!" Sonic yelled, "and here I thought I was going to have a peaceful day with no robots running around."

"Who is eggman?" She asked.

"The only human mad scientist on this planet." I replied.
