You didn't see erik, lyle and edward at all on Saturday, Mr. Menendez were on business trip like always while Mrs. Menendez stay at home with you. She's busy on the phone all day talking with some contractors who build their house in calabasas.
Sunday, november 27th 1988.
It's late morning, you were sweeping the leaves on the drive way, you saw lyle's volkswagen beetle just parked. Lyle and edward came out of the car. "Morning beautiful" edward greets you while lyle kiss you on the cheek and just went inside the house, they look hangover.
You smiled at them, "morning".
Erik came out the last from the driver's seat, he smile and approach you, "hey" he hugged you without hesitation, you just froze. "it's my birthday today" he said confidently while still hugging you.
"happy birthday" you pat on his back.
"Thank you, where's my mom?" he release you.
"She went to the gym with her friend early morning"
"Oh ok, see you inside" he smiled and walk into the house.
You walk to the kitchen, you found the boys sitting on the bar chairs and put their head on the island, except erik, he sit down neatly.
"urgh i'm so hangover" andrew sighed heavily.
"my head hurts" said lyle as he massage his head.
"here" you offered them glass of milk.
"Thanks magno" lyle drink it straight.
"You guys had party last night?" you asked.
"yeah we went drinking and dancing in the club, it was fun" erik answered, it's clearly shows that he is the only one whose sober.
You just smiled.
"yo erik! My birthday boy!" erik's friend suddenly appear in the house and give him surprise.
"Craig!" he hugged him right away.
"yo, looks like we gonna have party again tonight" edward chimmed in.

You busy cleaning the windows while erik and craig take a dip in the pool, lyle and edward continue sleeping in the guest house.

"hey, who's that girl?" craig curious about you.
"my house maid" said erik.
"damn she's beautiful" said craig.
"she is" erik stop and stare at you.
"Too bad she's a maid" he shrugged.
"hey, how about your girlfriend?" Erik try to change the topic.
"we were on a break" craig kept looking at you, "man, she is so fine"
"yo craig, let's go to the hill, it's been long time" erik try hard to shift his friend's attention.
"You're right. Let's go. Could you ask her to come with us? I'd like to know her better" craig smirked.
"Nah, she needs to work, my mom will be mad if she's not home" erik quickly find excuse, he just want you for him only.
Erik, lyle and their friends went out again for lunch. An hour later Mrs. Menendez came home from the gym.
"Magno" you heard mrs. Menendez calling you while you were in the service room.
"Yes ma'am?" You march to see her.
"Can you stay again tonight? My husband come home, i want my house to be squicky clean and help me prepare for the dinner" she asked.
"Sure ma'am" you nodded.

You were wondering why erik didn't come down for dinner, "it's unusual" you said to yourself as you washing dishes.
At midnight, you were thirsty so you went to the kitchen to grab some water. You turn on the kitchen lamp and saw erik foraging food in the fridge.
"Hey you awake, am i too noisy?" He startled and closed the fridge.
"No, i just wanna grab some water" you continue asking, "are you looking for something to eat?"
"Yeah i couldn't sleep well when hungry"
"Well i've kept your dinner plate in the fridge, i could reheat it for you"
"Thank you, magno".
You take out the plate and put it in microwave for 2 mins, "here you go".
Erik cutting some lemons and just squeeze the juice out on top of the food. "Erik that's too much, anyway its bolognese, you don't put lemons juice on it" you try to stop him.
"I like it this way, it's just my habbit" he start to eat, you got cringe when you saw that, you can feel the sourness on your tongue, made your mouth produce extra saliva. He finished the pasta in less than a minute.
"Here" you handed him a glass of water. He took it from your hand and drink it, he put the glass down, turn to you and looking deep in you with those blue eyes.
"Are you okay erik?" He look different than usual, you could see sadness in his eyes.
He shook, "May i hug you please?" He didn't wait for your answer, he just hugged you, he was sitting down and you were standing up so his head is exactly on your tummy.
He hug you so tight, it makes you hard to breathe, then you heard him start sobbing, "erik, what's wrong?" You wanna look in his eyes but he kept looking down while still hugging you tight. All you can do was just rub his back and caressing his smooth brown wavy hair.
He keep sobbing as he hugged you for a couple of minutes until he calm down, now you're looking at to his red swollen eyes. "Hey, if you need someone to talk to, i'm here" you assure him.
He stood up and pull you even closer, "I wish i could runaway with you" he cup your cheeks with both of his hands, his face were so close that it took all your breath away. He was about to kiss your lips when you both heard someone walking down the stairs.
"Erik! Magno! What are you guys doing here? Go back to your room, both of you!" Said Mrs. Menendez. Erik smiled at you when you both walk apart and you smiled half heartedly because you still feel sorry for him. ______________________________________
