You meet erik regulary in the visiting room of LA county jail, his mood is always lit up every time he saw you, he hug you tightly and sit right next to each other, he never let go your hand as you both talk for hours.
"Erik.." you look right into his ocean blue eyes.
"hmmm?" he look back at you compassionately.
"umm you know.. sometimes i feel so lonely in USA, i dont have family here, all i got is you but.."
"i'm behind bars, i'm sorry magno"
You put your head on his broad shoulder and start sobbing, he caress your hair to calm you down, "I totally understand how you feel, it must be so hard for you.."
he squeeze your hand and lift up your head with his other hand to get your attention, "Magno.. i don't wanna be selfish and kept you all for my self, i want you to have your own life, to pursue your own dream. "I'll be fine, please don't worry about me" he smile widely, he shows his strong side face, he really try to look tough in front of you eventhough he is broken inside.
He then kiss your lips softly and embrace you deep, you could really feel his warmth, the guard even have to warn you both for an excessive physical contact but he ignore it, he kept holding you tight on his arms and whisper, "i love you forever Magnolia".
Prison's life is hard for prisoner as well as for the family. With the limited physical contact and communication, you decided to go back to your country, pursuing your dream in your home town, close to your big family.
Meanwhile, erik found a new lover, the love of his life, tammi, the woman he intensively coresspondent with back in 1996, they eventually got married in 1998 and you're beyond happy for both of them.
You and erik still keep in touch through letters, you and him will forever be best friends and the one and only first love. The feelings, the good and bad memories, the emotional connection between you and erik is still felt in both hearts, lingering like a gentle reminder of what once was.

New update, they gonna be back in court this mid december, yaaay! finally release soon after 35 years serving behind bars, so grateful and so happy for them.
