Brian's POV-
I woke up gasping for air. Oh my gosh. Ari told us. Ari showed us. I told Reese, he didn't believe me. He didn't believe the facts.
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" I mumbled. Does she still have those scars? Does she still have those marks?!
It's all your fault!
You can't even protect your younger siblings!
That's why you're such a biscuit, you are so stupid!
I am stupid. I need to ask her. They were nine, they have to remember. I walked to Ari's room, and knocked on the door.
"Come in," Ari tiredly said. I went in. I don't really go to her room, so her eyes widened in surprise.
"Do you need anything?" She asked. I sighed as I put my hand over my face.
"I remember that day...when you were nine," I stated. She froze and her face paled.
"Do you still have those scars?" I asked. What's the point of beating around the bush?
"Yeah, she does. She doesn't want to admit it though. She thinks she'll be a burden," Alex said from behind me. I jumped because I didn't hear him come in.
"Do you need help with...treating them?" I asked hesitantly. She laughed. She laughed maniacally. Alex and I gawked at her.
"You...you really think I'm going to ask for your help? You really think I'm going to accept it?!" She exclaimed with a cold, venomous tone. I looked down as Alex sighed and went to sit beside her.
"Ari, is it because you think I'll think less of you?" I asked. She knew I was referring to that day. Alex soon picked up on that.
"Why would you think less of her?" Mike asked, while Reese walked in with him. The twins and I froze. Only Reese knows, and he didn't believe me. Why do they always make an appearance at the worst times?!
"The day I told you to break up with Tanya. The day you didn't believe me. The day you enabled her to hurt them more!" I exclaimed facing him, feeling a burning hatred in the pit of my stomach. No, I won’t let myself hate him, but I will let myself be mad at him.
"It-Its true?" He asked. He visibly paled when he asked. Ari sighed. She looked at Alex and he gave her a look. I'm the closest to them and I can't read them.
"Yeah...it's true," she mumbled. Reese dropped to the floor and Mike looked at us confused. We never told him about any of this.
"What's true?" Mike asked. Ari and Alex glared at him.
"We told you to save us. We told you to save us..." She trailed off, and Alex just intensified his glare.
"I didn't know the monster you were talking about was real! You went in there squealing! I thought it was squeals of happiness while Tanya chased you with a...smile," he trailed off finally putting the pieces together. He had tears in his eyes.
"I...we…I'm so sorry Ari!" He exclaimed, falling to his knees. He started tugging his hair.
"Hey! I'm here! I'm not going anywhere! You need to calm down, Mike!" She cooed while running beside him. She pulled him to her chest.
"Don't worry. We're okay, now. We're okay. Nobody dares bother us again. Don't worry. Alex is okay. I-i'm okay," she whispered, just loud enough for us to hear her voice crack on the last part.
Reese, Alex and I all shared a look. All of us, even Mike, knows she's not okay. She knows she's not okay. Alex went beside her. He gave her a look. The kind that says 'Don't lie to us, or yourself'. She sighed again. She gave him a 'Really?' look, making him smirk.
"Are you okay, now, Mike?" She asked, looking him in the eyes.
"I'm so sorry, Ari. I'm so sorry," he whispered as she shushed him.
"It's okay, Alex and I are okay. We'll be fine. He'll be fine. Don't worry," she said. Alex may be fine, but...she didn't say she'd be fine.
"Okay.." he whispered. Reese just looked at her, and she looked back, locking their eyes. Her green eyes pierced into his blue ones. Getting up from the floor, and helping Mike up, she again made eye contact with Reese.
"I thought...you of all people, would believe us, Reese. I trusted you, and when you didn't believe us...that made our walls go higher. And, you don’t believe us right now!" She yelled at him. He looked anywhere but her, when she said that. We all knew she was right.
Mike's jaw dropped, while mine clenched. Alex stayed silent and emotionless. We all knew that he was about to kill 35 people in under 10 seconds.
"Y-you don't believe them?!" Mike exclaimed. His eyes burning in pure rage. Reese shook his head.
"Well, maybe...you should have some...proof?" Alex suggested and I agreed. Ari stares at us, wide-eyed. Alex locked eyes with her gaze. I couldn't bear to see her reaction. When I looked, my heart shattered. She finally looked like the girl, with emotions. She looked how I never wanted her to look. She looked broken.
"What do you mean, proof?" Mike asked, confused. Ari stares at him with her broken expression, and his jaw dropped, clenching after his moment of surprise. When she looked at Reese, he looked at her pale, wide-eyed, jaw dropped and with tears in his eyes.
"I'm not, s-sh-showing t-them," she whispered with a stutter. This is the most vulnerable I have ever seen her, since that day when I told Reese to break up with Tanya.
"How will they believe us?!" Alex exclaimed. She bit her lip and looked away. She's hiding something. Something not even Alex knows. Something is wrong. Something is very wrong.
"Fine, but under one condition," she whispered. We all looked at her expectantly.
"Don't treat me any differently, I don't care if you don't love me anymore. It doesn't matter anymore," she whispered. She mumbled the last sentence but we all heard it.
Alex hugged her and she slightly flinched before hugging him back. She was about to go into a flashback. She gestured towards her closet. As if to say 'I'm going to change'. We nodded. When she came out, we were shocked with what we saw. My poor baby.
She didn’t even tell Alex.
Okay, this is going to be the last one for a while... I think.
So, how ya doin' today?
