Chris's POV-
I feel terrible. I always felt terrible after leaving Ari and Alex. It's just...they were our best friends. It was hard to move on. So hard because I felt like only Zane could understand me. I bet he felt the same way. With the twins? They understood everything. Ari would give us tips on how to charm girls...how to act.
She would be like our second mom. The mom we loved. And because we were 2 selfish biscuits, we let her mental health go down the drain. When I heard the word 'abuse' I knew that I would kill her. I would kill Tanya.
"What the heck did we do?! Did you see how upset they were to see us there?!" Zane exclaimed. I could see the hurt and regret in his eyes. I know because I felt the same. I looked down, feeling my eyes fill with tears.
"I saw, Zane...I saw how bad we messed up," I whispered with a broken voice. We went to my car that we drove here with. I sighed and rested my head against the steering wheel. Zane put a reassuring hand on my shoulder and looked into my eyes.
"We'll fix this," he said quietly. I nodded. I sure hope so.
Ariana's POV-
I'm so mad. Alex gave me a small pep-talk before my fight. I sat down and put my head in my hands in the locker room. Alex sighed as well and sat down beside me.
"Just- try not to kill someone," he said, half-joking, half-serious. I gave him a small smile and nodded. I let out a breath.
"The Crimson Mask, Demon of Death, versus, Angel of Life!" The speaker said. Alex and I shared a confused look. Gosh, how ironic. I stepped out onto the ring, my eyes proceeding to widen. How is she here?! I can’t hurt her. She was one of my best friends. I ran off the ring, seeing her have the same reaction. I bent over, panting in surprise as Alex ran over as well.
"What's wrong, twinny?" Alex asked, rushing to my side. I was about to have another panic attack. I slowed my breathing. She had the same reaction which means she recognized me too. I saw her in my peripheral vision. Alex froze when he noticed them.
"Ava...Jayden?" He called out. Her head snapped to us. Her eyes filled with tears when she saw Alex. She looked at me, with calculating eyes. She put her hands to her mouth.
"Ari...Alex," she whispered. Her brother, Jayden was with her. She was part of a group of triplets. Ava, Jayden and Jason. They were our other best friends, and we had to move. They weren't mad because they knew it was because our rival Mafia had tracked us. We hadn't heard from them since.
She ran over and pulled us into a big hug. Jayden was still frozen. He shook his head, seemingly snapping out of his daze. He also ran over and hugged us. Jayden and Jason had been closer to Alex because they were all...into the same stuff. Not to mention they were all boys.
Ava and I were closer because of the fact we both didn't have a mom. We also shared the fact we lived in a house of boys. Her brothers and father aren't as over-protective as mine, but still are. She had tears running down her face.
This just turned from one of the worst days, to one of the best days.
Alexander's POV-
It's really them. We haven't seen them in 3 years...because we had to move. They understood why. Our rival Mafia had found us. They threatened us. We didn't want anyone else to get hurt, so we explained the situation to them. Soon after, we moved only to never see them again. But...oh my gosh. They're here.
I bro-hugged Jayden, looking into his eyes. Those eyes that knew all of my secrets. The same ones as his triplets'. A satisfying brown, ones that you could get lost in if you tried hard enough. Analytical in ways I can’t explain. Like, as soon as they see you, it’s like they know every single secret you have. They know everything you thought. Everything you said.
"Where's Jason?" I asked at the same time as Ari. We both rolled our eyes and huffed. Seriously? Our twin moments are getting out of hand.
"Stop copying me!" We both said to each other. Ava and Jayden laughed. Ari and I shrugged and sent each other death glares. We both broke out into a grin. Ava and Jayden both slapped us to get us out of our 'extended twin moment' as they call it.
It didn't hurt, but it made us avert our attention to them.
"Well, to answer your question, Jason is at home. He usually comes when one of us is fighting, but he's not feeling too well today," Ava explained. Ari and I nodded in understanding. Ari and I shared a look.
"You were always the optimistic one 'Angel of Life'," Ari said, finger quoting Angel of Life. Jayden and I chuckled while Ava pouted.
"Oh come on! It's not like 'Demon of Death' is any better!" She exclaimed, also finger quoting. Jayden and her eyes widened.
"Wait, you guys are the Crimson Masks?!" They exclaimed in unison, their eyes wide. They didn't even acknowledge their twin moment. We simply nodded.
"I can't wait to tell Jason! In fact, I won't wait!" She exclaimed, dialing his number. Ari and I shared a pleading look with Jayden to stop her. Jayden nodded and took her phone out of her hands before she could click the call button.
"Hey!" She exclaimed, trying to get her phone back.
"Do you have the right to tell Jason?" Jayden asked. She stopped moving and put her finger on her chin. She narrowed her eyes at us.
"Can I tell Jason?" She asked. Ari and I shook our heads.
"Sorry, we just...we like to keep our identities a secret so that if our rivaling Mafia is there, they won't know," I explained. They nodded in understanding.
"Can I give you our numbers?" Jayden asked. He checked the time on his watch. "We have to be home in 20 minutes," he said. We nodded. We exchanged numbers and we said our goodbyes. Ari and I shrugged. No fighting for today I guess.
