1 year later... October 30th 2022
The fog and mist took up Haddonfield streets as Jamie got into her night clothes and laid in her bed, falling asleep. She heard a loud bang and her daughters scream. She jumped out of bed and slowly walked the upstairs hallway. It was dark in the house at night so she got a flashlight and turned it on. "Emily?" she whispered but there was no response. "EMILY?" she yelled a bit louder. Still no response. So she slowly opened the door to her daughter's room and Emily was not in her bed. "Emily this is not funny, stop playing tricks on me," she said not knowing if it was a prank or not. She slowly makes her way downstairs and hears a noise from the kitchen, so she shined the flashlight to the kitchen to see what was going on and Michael was hitting Emily with an ax. Jamie screamed and threw the flashlight at Michael as he threw the ax at Jamie and it almost hit her before she woke up screaming in a cold sweat. It was just a dream, just a dream she thinks to herself. Her alarm goes off at 5:00 am every morning so she can make breakfast for Emily. She goes downstairs into the kitchen as Emily is watching tv in the living room. "Good Morning Sweetie." Jamie said. "Good Morning mom." said Emily. Jamie's kitchen was spotless, she kept her house together very nice. She cracked an egg and started to cook scrambled eggs and bacon for her daughter. "Is Brandon coming and dropping you off at school this morning?" Jamie said, taking a sip of her morning coffee. "Yeah, he's coming in around 15 minutes." Emily said. "I already got dressed... also I heard you screaming last night. Is everything okay?" Jamie looked at Emily "Yeah... just a bad dream." She said to Emily. 13 minutes later Brandon came in his Camaro to pick Emily up to bring her to school. It's a nice fall day as yellow, orange and red leaves fall on the roads of Haddonfield. "Have a good day in school honey." Jamie said. "Thanks mom, I love you." She said waving goodbye and shutting the door hopping in the car as the sun was almost fully up. She kisses her boyfriend and they start driving.
Back at the house, Jamie takes a shower and gets dressed to go to therapy then to work as a Nurse at Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. Jamie has been going to therapy for a year now because of what she's been through, it seems to help her a lot. She locks the door to the house and gets into the car as The Shape appears watching her behind the tree, but she does not notice. So she gets in her white Tesla and starts driving as 'Willy The Kid' is talking on her radio. She listens to 94.9 Haddonfield's Home of Rock every morning as she goes to work. She pulls up at her therapist and gets out of the car as she walks inside the huge modern building. Of course she is in her work clothes because she is going to work after her session. "Jamie. Hey!! Come on in." Her therapist Tara says to Jamie. Jamie gets up and smiles as she sits in the therapy room. "So, how is everything going lately?" Tara asked. "It's been okay. Never letting my daughter go to a Halloween party again." Tara lets out a little laugh in response. "I had a nightmare about Michael last night. He was killing my daughter and threw an ax at me." Jamie said. "I'm so sorry to hear that Jamie... are you taking your pills?" Tara questioned Jamie. "Yeah, every night like you said." Jamie said in response. "Good. Anything else that has been bothering you?" Tara asked. "Nothing else. I still think of Rachel and how life would be if she were still here. I bet she could still kick ass." Jamie said smiling. "Awww. Rachel will always be in your heart Jamie." Tara said. "I know." Jamie let out a little smile. After a few more questions, Jamie said, "Well I guess I'll see you next Wednesday."  "Yup. See you next Wednesday." Tara replied as Jamie got back into her Tesla as the cold wind blew with the fall leaves. Only two more days till Halloween she thought to herself. She drove to HMH to have a 9-5 shift. She pulled up at HMH and walked in with her nurse outfit on, the front desk ahead of her when she walked in. She walked up to it and clocked into her shift.
