"Sleepover?" Kate asked as we walked out of Dairy Queen, sipping our milkshakes.
"School night."
"So? Invite me over."
"You're too stubborn." I rolled my eyes, walking to her car.
"I'm borrowing your clothes by the way. And using your Aveda shampoo. It smells like flowers."
"Buy your own!" I bumped her shoulder, almost spilling her milkshake.
"Watch it!" She laughed and flicked a bit on ice cream on my face.
"So, Kale was being weird today." I asked as we opened her car door.
"Yeah. He's hiding something from us."
"Eh. We'll squeeze it out of the boys tomorrow."

I dragged Jake by his nostrils, and Henry by his ear out of my room. "Get out! Ugh! Little perverts."
"I'm telling Mom!" Jake yelled right after I slammed the door in his face.
"Your brother is a pig. Who opens a shower door when someones using it?" Kate called from the bathroom. She came out with her hair up in a towel, my pink shorts and a random pajama top.
"I agree. That's soo mean." I heard a high pitched voice call from the other side of the room.
"I really need to start closing my window." I growled. "What do you want, Braeden?"
"I just want to talk. I have no friends." He gave me a cocky smile, his face down, but eyes up. "Nah. I'm kidding. Dylan and Mason are here."
"What happened to your 'date'?"
"I canceled. I thought a guy night was better."
"Hey." Two voices piped up coming out from behind Braeden.
"Rose. What the hell is going on?" Kate glared at me, sitting on my window seat.
"Haha, funny story.."
"Dude, I didn't know Rose was your neighbor. Have you seen tits yet?" Dylan, the perverted, yet sweet guy in our class, turned to fist-bump Braeden.
"Nah." He shook his head. Then in a loud whisper, "She's kind of a prude."
I gasped, "I am not! I was in a bra and booty shorts! Did you think I was just going to let your dirty little eyes roam all over my body like one of your one-night stands?" I ranted.
"Well.." He shrugged sheepishly.
"You disgust me." I turned away from the window.
"Holy shit! Why didn't you tell me this before?" Kate slapped me on the shoulder.
"It never came up..?" I smiled half-heartedly.
"And you are..?" Mason, the charmer of our school, pushed past Dylan and winked at Kate.
"It's not like you're in my math class or anything." She glared at him.
"Oh yeah.. it's uh.. Katrina? Kendall? Katie?" He counted off names on his fingers.
"Closer." She gave him a bored look.
"Katie.. Kate?" He flashed a wide grin. "Kate!"
"Right on the money." She gave him a thumbs up, then turned to me. "Shit's gonna hit the fan when people find out you're Braeden's next door neighbor. Jenna's gonna freak!" She laughed evilly. Jenna, meaning the obese, ugly, buck-toothed weirdo in our grade.
