"You ready to go Jess?" Mark questioned, swinging the door to my hospital room open.

Thankfully I was already changed and sitting on my bed waiting, he clearly has forgotten any form of respecting other people's privacy.

"Hey, you didn't need to come, I said I would take her home." Daniel said. He came first thing and waited for clearance from the doctor with me.

"No." Marks tone was stern, and he was barely making eye contact, "I'll take her home."

"Honestly I don't think that's necessary, I'm here and we're going back to the same house where we both live?"

There was tension between the two of them. In fairness, when Daniel left last night Mark came back to drop some stuff off for the night. He had unintentionally woken me up from my sleep but he stayed for a while and I filled him in on Daniel's decision.

It was a little awkward between the two of us but we both realised it was easier for him to continue training in Monaco between races. Mark on the other hand didn't respect the decision but he also knew too much information that kept his opinion biased.

"Mark, I told you not to come, both of you fussing is pissing me off more than anything else."

Hospitals made me grouchy; the concussion made me grouchy, keeping things pent up out of fear made me grouchy.

"If he's leaving, you're coming to live with me, I can't trust I'm not going to come past your house one day and you're passed out in the kitchen."

I rolled my eyes, "You're so dramatic I- "

"I'm not leaving until she's feeling better, don't make me out to be the bad guy here you're not in this relationship and to be honest you never cared until recently." My mouth parted in shock at Danny's abruptness, he was never like that. All three of us were grumpy and the quicker we could leave here the better.

"I think I'd like to go home to my own house and have a decent sleep." I interrupted, knowing the two of them were about to start battling. "Mark you're clearly dressed for work, go and I'll call you tonight, I'm going home with Daniel."

He grunted in disagreement but finally left.

"I'm not leaving you Jess; you know that right?"

"Even if you were, I suppose it would make us even?" I shrugged, standing slowly from the bed and starting to walk towards the door.

Part of me wanted him to fight, to say he wanted to stay here and not go to Monaco but part of me also knew I kind of deserved him to leave. We were both having a major relationship wobble and it needed to be sorted, we need to remember what it used to be like. I think by him going back to Monaco he's hoping I'll follow like I did years ago.

The whole drive home was awkward but as the day progressed my headache got progressively worse, and I could sense I was only going to get grumpier.

As soon as I got home, I took the fluffy blanket from the cupboard, changed into comfy pyjamas and cosied up on the sofa in front of the tv and Netflix.

"Jess. I'm sorry. Can I talk to you?"

I looked over at the door and saw Lando peeking round it.

"Yes please." I nodded.

He walked over and sat next to me; I kicked my feet. Up on to his lap and let him take half the blanket.

"I'm sorry I've been such a bitch; you've had a tough few days and I've been horrible about you being here I've been way to focused on me and forgot about you."

"Its okay, I just wanted to say I'll leave tomorrow its still another few weeks before the sale for my new flat goes through but I'm going to stay with a friend."

"Please don't, you can stay here, Danny's going to Monaco for a bit so you can stay here as long as you like I'd appreciate the company."

"You're gonna have to earn the honour of my company, your bitchiness really upset me." He mocked, pretending to be hurt.

"You're right, my bitchiness was extremely upsetting but I promise I'll make it up to you."

"Hey! Did Max text you?" Danny burst through the living room, directing his question at Lando. "Oh, sorry Jess, I thought you were still upstairs."

"I don't know man, my phones upstairs charging."

"He's having a baby! He's not having a baby... Kelly's having a baby.... his baby so technically- "

Both of us started laughing at his awkwardness, Lando kicked my feet away and stood up to race upstairs for his phone.

"Great news, right?" I smiled as Daniel came and took Lando's position.

"Amazing, wait- you knew?"

"Yeah, Kelly told me a few races ago when we had that girl's night, same weekend and same night Luisa dropped she was ending it with Lando and the same weekend I- actually nothing exciting happened to me that weekend, I just soaked in the chat from them and apparently forgot to tell you... I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry, I can understand why you never said anything."

He reached over and put his hand on my knee, squeezing it reassuringly. Without thinking I reached over and hugged him.

"I love you a lot of Daniel, I don't tell you enough or show it enough, I take you for granted a lot and I'm sorry, but I do really love you."

"I know you do."
