Chapter 3

The next day, Miles is sleeping until Elia tries to wake him up. "N-not now love, just give me a few more minutes." He yawns at her which makes her tease him more. "Come on, get up. I'll give you a special reward." Miles ignores her and continues to sleep. "Hmph, fine." Elia pouts and decides to cuddle with Miles for a little bit. Until she gets a bit too comfortable and starts falling asleep next to him, but before she sleeps, she starts talking to him a little bit more. "You always know how to make me listen to you." Elia says to him. "And I don't mean to warn you when you're just waking up, but just so you'll know-" Elia goes closer to Miles' ear and whispers. "You said my name a few times in your sleep!" Miles opens his eyes with a nervous look on his face while Elia asks him what he was dreaming about, which makes his face red outta embarrassment. "Come on, you can tell me." Elia teases him which makes him tell her that it was nothing. "Nothing? Well what exactly was I doing to you in your dreams if you keep saying it was nothing?" Miles blushes so hard it makes Elia laugh. "Can I guess what I was doing in your dream?" Miles instantly says no when she asks him that. Then, Elia slowly falls asleep and tells Miles. "You're cute when you're just waking up so I'll give you a pass." Elia lets him get away with ignoring her questions and when she falls asleep, Miles gives her a kiss on her forehead while she lays on his chest and sleeps along with her. Until, the doorbell rings which annoys both of them. Miles goes and checks while Elia stays in bed. "No, stay more." Elia says while yawning but Miles gives her headpats before leaving. Once he opens the door, he sees Macie waiting outside. "Hey, sorry for bothering you but. An incident happened to one of our members." Miles looks in confusion and asks her who it was. "I-it was. Ethan!" Miles looks down in sadness not just for his friends, but for Elia. To the point that he hesitates telling her what happened. "I-I'm sorry, I hope he recovers soon!" Macie hugs Miles and then leaves while Miles goes back into his house. "W-what was that about?" Elia asked with her eyes half closed. Miles looks at her with a sad look in his eyes. "Huh, what's wrong, my flame?" She asks but Miles is too worried about what will happen if he told her, but he hates keeping secrets from her. "I-It's nothing I-" Miles stops and goes to his room while Elia tries to comfort him. "Hey, tell me what's wrong. Please, I hate seeing you like this!" Miles hesitates until Elia tells him. "I'm always here for you, because I love you!" Elia kisses Miles on the lips and it motivates him to finally tell her. "I-It's about Ethan." Elia looks in confusion. "Okay, what happened to him?" She asked until he finally told her. "He, he got really hurt!" Elia's turns from tired to upset. "I-I'm sorry love, I should've just told you then and there." Miles tells her which she tells him. "I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at who hurt my friend!" Elia gets ready and goes to the hospital Macie messaged Miles to go to. After they arrive, they see Ethan on a hospital bed along with his arm stitched up. "E-Ethan, I'm sorry I wasn't there for you!" Elia blames herself for being able to save her oldest friend she has. Sadly, he was given medicine to be able to fall asleep. While Elia sheds tears for him, Miles tries to comfort her. But she walks away with teary eyes. Is this the end?
