ALTHEA was wrapped in the sensation of something overflowing her whole body as she sat there uncomfortably. The voices of the people around the place seemed to be overwhelming and unclear to her the whole time, as her eyes almost rolled towards the back.
She let out an intoxicating moan as she buried her face on the desk.
"Don't make yourself too obvious," the man whispered.
"F . . . Fuck you," she uttered, full of disdain yet pleasure.
She couldn't help but look back at the events before all this happened.
And every time she remembers it, she wants to curse him to his death.
Hours flew by that afternoon, and Althea did not expect that the meeting she agreed to was about to commence after dinner.
She thought that it would have been at a different time, but then she realized she was tricked by her supposed husband.
Regardless, she had no choice but to come since she confirmed it in front of the others. If she wanted to make a good impression on the people with whom she will share her house, she would have no choice but to play the role of a good wife.
After all, these men have been the epitome of death.
Just by looking at them, she could tell that they may pull out their guns and kill her in an instance if she were the slightest suspicious.
Once she and her husband entered the room, she noticed that the people were already seated in their own designated places. They all turned to look at them, and immediately, Althea happened to notice one particular person.
David.
He had that same look in his eyes, as though she were nothing but an eyesore.
She just let out a sigh and ignored it.
Once they were all seated in their respective places, the meeting immediately started.
"Jefe, el otro equipo operativo ahora se ha movido más allá de la línea de defensa de los oficiales. Se han encontrado informes de que Peterson Gómez está vivo." [Jefe, the other operating team has now moved past the defense line of the officials. There have been reports that Peterson Gomez is alive.]
Hugo was the first to speak. He was holding papers in his hands as though he were reading out a report.
Althea couldn't understand what he was saying, but she could tell that it was something serious based on the serious look on his face.
"Is that true?" Carlo inquired.
"Todavía no lo hemos confirmado, ya que puede ser un rumor infundado creado para irritarnos," [We haven't confirmed it yet since it may be a baseless rumor created to rile us up.]
Carlo nodded.
"Está muerto," [He's dead.] interrupted Israel, and his eyes switched to look at his woman for a moment before he looked back towards the people again.
"I made sure to kill him before his body was found by the authorities."
Althea couldn't believe her ears when she heard those words. It looked like Israel purposely talked in English so that she could understand him carefully.
