"When was the last time you saw your dad?" Natasha asked you as you guys pulled up to his cabin.

"Last time I spoke to him over the phone was...three weeks ago, I think, last time I saw him was probably on New Years," you said as Steve parked the car.

You guys got out of the car just as your dad was walking up to the house with Morgan in his arms. He noticed you guys before turning away quickly. He walked up the stairs before turning to you guys nodding to you before taking Morgan inside.

"No, I mean- we know what it sounds like."

"Tony after everything you've seen, is anything possible?" Steve asked him.

" quantum fluctuation messes with the phlank scale...which then triggers the Deutsch proposition. Can we agree on that?" He said to you guys as he handed you all drinks. " in Laymans term. It means you're not coming home."

"I did"

"No, you accidentally survived" your dad sighed "it's a billion-to-one cosmic fluke and now you wanna pull a...what do you call it?"

"A time heist?"

"Yeah, a time heist, of course. Why didn't we think of this before? Oh, because it's laughable because it's a pipedream"

"The stones are in the past we can go back, we could get them," Steve said.

"we can snap our own fingers, we can bring everybody back," you said.

"or screw it up worse than he already has, Right?" Your dad said.

" I don't believe we would"

"Gotta say it. I sometimes miss that gitty optimism. However, high hopes won't help if there is no logical tangible way for me to safely execute said some, time heist. I believe the most likely outcome will be our collective demise" he said sitting down in his seat.

" Not if we strictly follow the rules of time, travel alright it means no talking to our past selves, no betting on sporting events-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there, Scott.  are you seriously telling me that your plan to save the universe is based on back to the future, is it?" He asked him.

"No"

"Good! you had me worried there because that would be horseshit that's not how quantum physics works"

"Tony, we have to take a stand," Natasha said to him.

"We did stand, and yet here we are"

"I know you've got a lot on the line, you've got a wife, two daughters, one who is currently right here, right now, asking for your help, but I also lost someone very important to me. A lot of people did, and now, now we have a chance to bring her back... to bring everyone back, and you're telling me that you won't even-"

"That's right Scott, I won't even. I can't"

You heard Morgan come out of the house as she came over to your dad.

"Mommy told me to come and save you"

"Good job, I'm saved. I wish you were coming here to ask me something else anything else I'm honestly happy to see you guys I just..."

"Tony, I get it, and I'm happy for you, I really am. But this is a second chance."

"I got my second chance right here cap," motioning to Morgan. "Cant roll the dice on it. if you don't talk shop, you can stay for lunch" he said before walking away.

You quickly huffed and walked away. The other following behind you. "Ohhh here's my second chance here's my second chance! I don't give a flying fuck that everyone else, even my eldest daughter is currently suffering because I have what I want!" You said in a mocking voice to yourself.
