sonic closed his eyes before dashing off as fast as he could, his body aching from not running in awhile.

his eyes were closed as he felt the weird sensation he usually did as he was being transferred to another dimension, his body was on fire.

eventually his body was starting to give out and his pain subsided, he assumed it was over and slowly opens his eyes. i.. i did it.. he thought to himself as looked around.

it was the same building he was from when he first teleported. i actually.. i actually di.. was the last things thought before passing out from exhaustion on the cold metal floor.

his body lay limp as crowds of people hoarded around him. and amongst that crowd was tails.

he was confused at first but when he started to hear people repetitively bringing up sonic his heart sped up.
he tried to squeeze through the crowds but was to no avail, frustrated he took to the sky with his tails. he searched to see the main source of commotion before gasping and flying down quickly.

he ran past the guards that were holding the crowds back and over to his bro. "sonic..." he mumbled looking down at him. "you're home.."

he pulled him into a tight embrace as if he'd loose him again. he sobbed and gripped him tighter. soon after him friends had also shown up and stood in awe.

knuckles and rouge rushed over to tails side, shadow followed behind slowly. once they got close enough to the hero he stood and watched from a distance, not really knowing what to do besides being a by stander.

amy pushed pass him and over to sonic crying her eyes out. shadow eyed her before scoffing and walking to a secluded area.

"oh sonic!" she said as she attempted to embrace him. rouge stopped her before she got the chance though. "hold on hun." she said looking over to tails.

"let him has his turn." amy scoffed offendedly.

"but I haven't-" rouge only glared as if to tell her to shut up before turning her back to face tails once more.

amy stood there in disbelief.

it took awhile but eventually tails let go of his big brother and examined his condition. he was obviously unconscious but he wanted to see if he changed or not.

he had seemingly grew taller and his body had matured much more. he had new scars that weren't there before which was another things tails noted.

he turned to rouge and whispered something to her, she nodded and said to the guards. "we're taking him home."

they all seemed to look at each other before the head guard gave the okay for them to do so. "if you want ill carry him."she asked.

"yes please." tails' voice came off as soft.

rouge carefully picked sonic up only to end up on back on the ground. tails looked her way. "what's wrong?"

"he's heavy." she said letting out a weak laugh. tails blinked.

"oh uhh." tails looked around. "where's shadow, maybe he can chaos control to my lab?" hearing his name shadow walked over to the two and crossed him arms. "shadow what?" he responded.

"oh hey handsome we have a job for you, take big blue here to the house, he's way heavier that I thought." shadow looked passed rouge and down at sonic.

he had to hold back a look of surprise. everything he heard about the hero was true, he was surprised.

"shadow?" rouge said waving a hand in his face.

"hmph whatever." said after awhile. he walked over to sonic, picked him up and after awhile he and sonic were gone in a bright flash of white.

"okay we should head over there now," rouge said flying a bit above the ground, tails followed in suit and the two flew away towards the house. knuckles ran behind them.

"wait up for me!" amy said trying to shove her way through the crowd to catch up.

meanwhile shadow had just teleported back inside tails residence. not knowing what to do with the slightly bigger hedgehog he set him down onto the sofa and walked over to the sofa opposite of him.

"..."

he couldn't resist the curiosity building up and walked over to sonic's side. he leaned over a bit to look at his face, and then his fur, and then the few scars on his arms, he looked so.. cool?

"shadow?" came an unfamiliar voice. shadow jumped and got into a defensive stance.

sonic let out a weak laugh. "chill out i won't do nothin to ya' , it's not like I can anyways." shadow blinked before looking over to the couch. his rubies were met with bright emeralds.

"yeah i'm over here." sonic said giving up a peace sign.

"...how do you know my..-" shadow said defensively but was interpreted. "your name? easy i've met you before, in other universes of course . gotta say you guys all act pretty similar."

"what!" shadow said getting enraged, sonic snickered until it started to hurt his ribs.

"sonic, shadow?" tails said as he walked through the door. "wait sonic you're awake!" he said rushing over to his side.

as tails begin to question sonic and bombard him with questions rouge walked into the house and closed the door behind her. shadow immediately pulled her to the side in a hurry.

"what is it hun?" she questioned in a hushed whisper.

"how the hell does he know my name." he said panicked and confused.

"shadow what do you mean?" she said back.

"this hedgehog just said my name." he semi shouted,

"your probably heard him wrong hun."

shadow scoffed and glared at sonic, sonic gave an evil smile back before putting on a tired expression and turned to tails.
