As we drove out of the parking lot and down the street I noticed a lot of people outside and looking really really tired and I felt bad for not being able to do anything to help them.
"Carson do you know what this illness is and how it started?" I asked.
He shook his head 'no' and kept his eyes down on his phone.
I have never seen him look so worried and pale before. It's starting to make me wonder what is really going on.
My family usually is aware of the things that's going on but we have never engaged in anything like this before.
It's a really big change for me. Kind of like a dream but only that I know I can't just wake up and escape from it.
As we passed my school I noticed how dark and extremely quiet it was, which only made this a lot worse.
My schooo is never quiet. Not even at night. The teachers or seniors are always out in the front or in the back partying or having events.
But as we drove from the back to the front I saw absolutely no one at all.
This whole thing is starting to make me think something worse than I could ever imagine is happening but I really don't want to think about anything like that.
I looked down at my phone until we arrived at a very big unfamiliar house and my dad stopped the car.
Both of our parents looked back at us all and I felt sick looking at the expressions on their faces.
"We are going to be living here for some time. It's not for very long but once we get inside we will explain everything. Everyone's belongings will be here in a few minutes in a moving truck so don't worry about that" my dad said.
My mom looked at him and he nodded.
They got out and so did we as we all made our ways to the front door.
The house was white and huge. Not like a mansion but a bit smaller.
Very fancy and I can see the pool from the back as we walk slowly on the stone walkway that leads us to the door.
I examine all of the windows just to be sure I don't see anyone or anything peeking out of the windows just in case.
My dad unlocked the door and I heard a few loud squeals from my mom and younger siblings as they all ran around the downstairs.
My dad followed with a big smile and I walked upstairs with Chase to hopefully choose my room before he gets a chance to.
He stopped at the first room and I was so happy when he walked all the way in and smiled as he took a deep breath.
"Yep. This one is mine" he said.
"Good for you" I said, walking down to the next room and noticing that there are 6 bed rooms and 5 bathrooms.
"Wow this house really is big" I said to myself.
I walked into another room and my eyes lit up.
This room is everything I have been wanting in my own room.
With white sheers and a small chandelier on the roof that makes this room look like it was made for a princess.
Totally worth it.
I took my phone out of my pocket and started taking so many pictures in it,with myself and also just the room itself.
I walked over to the window and I noticed there was a black car parked outside next to ours and I looked around to see if I could see anyone outside and I didn't.
I walked down the hallway closing the door so my family can know this is the one I chose and just as I was walking down the stairs I hear the doorbell ring.
