05 || Invite

I get to the top of the stair case and hear someone running from behind me and I turn around to see Chase coming down the stairs.

He looks out of the small window next to the door and opens it to see Aaron,Milo and Sabrina.

I sighed and wanted to walk back upstairs but I stopped myself when they walked into the house.

"Nice place you got here. Very comfortable and yet still elegant in so many ways" Milo said with a smirk.

My parents came out of the kitchen with my younger siblings and started talking to Milo and Sabrina,while Chase was showing Aaron around the house outside.

I just sat down on the stairs and went back on my phone listening to music.

I don't know how long they were all talking for but when I looked up everyone was gone.

I stood up and put my phone into my jeans pocket as I walked down the stairs and to go look for my family.

I walked into the kitchen,living room and all of the upstairs rooms but didn't see anyone.

I walked outside,making sure to grab the key and lock the door before walking outside and closing it.

I walked around on the left side of the house on the pathway that leads to the pool and I saw a lot of people sitting there on the couches and at the tables with low music on in the background on a small speaker.

I felt annoyed for a bit then I decided to join them.

I really don't like being around a lot of people like this but today I guess won't hurt since I'm already here.

I walked over to the table my family was sitting at and my parents smiled when they saw me.

"Cassidy,come sit sit" my mom said with a very excited tone in her voice.

I sat down and looked around at all of the people here.

Barely any of them were familiar to me but one specific person's face made me squint to try and get a better look to be sure it was that person I was seeing.

'Why does he always show up at the wrong time?'

I turned back around to my family and noticed my younger brother and younger sister weren't at the table anymore.

I looked around and saw them with some other young kids by the swings then I turned to look at my parents.

"Mom,Dad,are we really going to take the deal Aaron's grandfather offered us?" I asked.

They both looked at eachother for a moment and looked back at Chase and I.

"Yes..but only you and Chase are going to help him. Max and Lyla are way too young to do those things and they need us to be with them at all times right now" my mom said.

I knew this was going to happen..but yet I still kind of wished they would tell him no.

I don't know what would happen if they did,so the only thing we can do right now is just to deal with it.

And just when I thought things were going a bit smoother..

The ground rumbles and I can hear everyone's screams..
