Chasing After You

Chapter 2

I was nervous and excited at the same time, and I'm not going to lie, I also wanted to meet this person that Valery set me up with; I trust her, and maybe she's right-I need to get to know someone and have a date with them. I'm not young anymore, and the feeling of being in a relationship also makes me excited, and since I'm in college, there's nothing wrong with going out on a date.

I didn't see anyone that look suspiciously waiting. Kinuha ko ang phone ko and I started to dial the number Valery put in my contacts, I almost curse her in my mind when I saw the name she put in it. Boyfriend with an emoji heart.

"Val, I'm going to loathe you if this is a prank." I chant as I was waiting for the other line to pick up and slightly moving my head to look around for anyone. "Hi?" I can feel the nervousness when I hear that soft voice.

"Who is this? Your number is not saved." He said softly in the other line. I didn't answer hearing his voice again, it was so soft that it was appealing.

"I'm gonna have to end this call if you're not going to answer me." I get back to my senses hearing that. "Hi." I said and gulp. "Are you the guy that Valery set me up? Sorry for asking this is the number she gave me."

"Oh yes its me. Im here at the Bar already and you are?"

"Im at the Entrance."

"Im at the right corner." I took my step and look around for a guy but I didn't see anyone. "Uhm, I couldn't find you mind if you get close to the Entrance-" I didn't get to finish my sentence when I spot a guy sitting to a two-sitting table in his phone. "I think I saw you already."

This is it Tiffany! Be confident and comfortable. You'll like this guy. I cheer myself before stepping to get close to him.

Before I could even talk to him he notice my presence and stoop up. "Oh, Hi." He said and smiled at me even his looks was appealing, I secretly look at his overall appearance and Valery is right he's a five and a half footer, he's a good looking guy and I think he's around my age.

"Please take a sit." He said and sit on his chair. "I'm Tiffany." I said amd I took a seat in front of him.

"Tiffany Monteleon." I said proudly. "I am Elias Navarro." He said back and smiled at me. I can't help but see amusement written in his eyes well I do the same I didn't expect he'll be too attractive.

"I actually know you but I didn't know you are the secret date Valery will set me up." He said and I found myself smiling at him. "What do you mean?" I asked him politely.

"You both were bestfriend and I think everyone knows that. I study at Charlestone University too." That explains why Valery know him. "I hear you're from Architect department." I was trying not to become boring.

"I am I am, Im into drawing and designing." Muli siyang ngumiti saakin but that smile wasn't creepy at all it makes him more handsome. "And you are studying Veterinarian." I nodded at him.

"Gusto ko maging isang doctor and malapit ako sa mga hayop that's why I choose Veterinary as my course."

"Anyways do you want to order food already?" Tumango ako. "Sure." He raise his hands to call the attention of waiter. He started to order our foods and to be honest, this date wasn't bad at all as I was imagining it to be. We talk about a lot of stuff and he even order a light wine for us.

"You are lovely Tiffany." He said out of a moment. I blush with what he said its not my first time to get compliment from others people but he's my date and he's not bad at all from his looks to the way he talk to me I think he's really kind and we might work if this continues. "You too. I didn't expect that Valery would choose my standard guy."
