Pretend
She holds the mic
With fidgety, sweaty palms
Pretend
She sings a song
And it's about love
Pretend
She cries out about a close love
And all she recalls as there's a cry in
is lost love
Pretend
They clap
She smiles
Almost gratified
Pretend
Until she remembers
What she's going through
And
Feels
Will this ever end?!
Pretend
She leaves the stage heartily
While her heart is breaking
Slowly and steadily
Pretend.
