"You should come"
The begins of a train of thought
"I won't be available"
A plethora of scars and inhaled battle brunts
"Why not? After all it's so close"
Proximity.
Proximity was mentioned,
With no regards as to our sanity and clarity
Was that a Reminder?
Our brain was trying so hard to ponder
But couldn't decipher
As it was erased in near deaths and gone forever?
Proximity was emphasized
when with so much access,
a call could be made and it goes through
In bouts of déjà vu
Proximity without consideration
for the past tearings
and unanswered hearings
In boulder dealings
Proximity - closing a distance that can shatter
all we've built
- in Pace and pain
All we're receiving
- from Peace to tranquility
Proximity - the past rears its ugly head and roars!
Proximity!
I'm afra- No.
I'm not afraid; Yes.
I would have to decline,
No more inconsiderate answers
For my sake,
No more delayed responses,
On your cake,
The sweetness of close calls and crass invites
Honour long forgotten
Scars re-resurrecting
Hands shaking
And
Tears streaming
Echoes leaving and
Voice beaming
"No thank you - I repeat I will not be available, thank you."
