"Baabe, are you almost ready?" Asher said, through the closet door.
"One second, I can't find my favorite hoodie." You replied.
"Okay, I'll be in the living room!" He yelled back while cackling to himself, further away now.
As you finally found it, now questioning what he did, you threw the sweatshirt on and headed out the door, into the living room.
You were stunned when you walked into the living room to find blankets, pillows, and some strung up lights lighting up the inside.
Asher walked out of the kitchen, mouth full of freshly microwaved popcorn, looking at you with surprise. Then happiness.
He finished chewing the popcorn and Slowakei, then said "what do you think?" In a happy tone, like a Disney mom taking her family to Disney land for the millionth time as if any of it changed. Unfortunately, you had to deal with the over-priced crap food and slow rides and matching Disney labeled shirts for each individual in your party. So you understand just the look of pure excitement, no matter how many times you've seen it.
Asher was quite proud of what he did in the living room. You said you loved it with a proud smile on your face, watching him practically dive into the fort out of excitement. You dove in right after him and saw the different colored lights, the bowls of unopened candies, and a opened laptop of your favorite movie on pause.
"So I'be got us some extra blanketsss,"
Ash said, dragging on his last words while holding down a finger each item he goes off.
"And some candy, your favorite movie, and some pillows. And this popcorn!" He said with excitement.
"Thank you Ash! This is very nice. I like the lights. Very professional." You said with almost in a flirty tone, while looking in his eyes when you said that. It made Asher smile.
He got the hint.
"Babe, we're watching a movie." He said with a grin. He adjusted on his side and you snuggled into him, as you hit play on the movie.
The apartment was silent. Just the two of you, in a adult sized blanket fort, watching your favorite movie on both your day's off.
Couldn't spend it any better way.
"I love you, babe." He kisses your head, which cause you to snuggle more into his arms.
"I love you too...puppy." You said, as both of you shared a short lived laugh.
