The ringing of my phone woke me up, searching for my phone I answered the call rubbing my eyes. It's morning already?.
"Am here" I heard a familiar voice and I woke up fully then.
Christian.
I checked the time 12:45am.
"Ok I'll come outside" I tell him and he hangs up.
Damn.
I put on a huge hoodie that cover my nightgown. I rinsed my mouth with mouth wash then washed my face to get rid of my sleepy eyes.
I pulled the grills silently as possible letting myself out.
His car is parked on the first lane to my yard.
I got to the car and he let me inside.
"Hey" I greeted and he has his head straight ahead.
"Are you pregnant" he asked not wasting any time.
Pregnant?
"No I'm not pregnant" I said with a small chuckle.
"So what did you call me for" he asked in a stiff tone shrugging his shoulders.
What's up with his attitude.
"Jeez your attitude" I called him out and I heard a long sigh.
"Mi nuh come here fi argue with you so ask or tell me what you're saying because I don't got all night" he said in a hostile tone.
"What's your problem?" I looked over at him and he's already peering at me.
He didn't say anything.
I don't even want to bother ask him anything. This whole idea was stupid anyways. What would I say...how are you?
..its obvious he's not in his best mood."You know what..don't bother am sorry I wasted your time" I reached to open the door but I soon hear it locked.
He let out a humourless chuckle.
"Hailey tell me what you were gonna ask"
"It doesn't matter... it was stupid anyways" I said hoping he'll just let me out now so I could go cry myself to sleep.
"Tell me" he insisted.
"I just...I just wanted to ask how are you" I said not meeting his eyes. He's probably laughing at me in his head.
"I'm good, how are you" I heard him say and I rolled my eyes.
"Well you didn't look like yourself from that night" I told him looking at him and as expected his eyes were on me.
"What is looking like myself?" He asked and I gave him a deadpan look.
"Your normal look..you looked sad or rather perplexed I don't know which" I said and the more I'm looking at his perfect face the more I fall deeper. It's hard to read him sometimes.
"Why"
"Why what" I asked confused
"Why do you care" he snickered.
I shrugged.
"My father died..and you left me" he said and I gasped softly.
"Christian!" I exclaimed. I was not expecting to hear that news.
"I'm so sorry for you loss...my condolences goes out to you and your family" I said in a remorseful tone. I knew how how it felt to loose a parent.
"yeah it's good" he said brushing it off. It's obviously
