Last Love: Part 14

On Riyaz's side

I wished her gn and came back to my house. I went straight to my room and changed.

As I removed the jacket something fell from the pocket. As I looked I realized it was the letter and as I read the words an uneasy feeling was settling but I ignored and started opening the envelope to read it. There were 2 notes in it.

The letter said....

" Dear Riyaz,

I feel guilty not about writing this letter but writing it late. I was afraid I did lose you forever, because 'I Love you'. I wrote this letter when you were in Bhutan. I thought I wouldn't ever need to give this but circumstance change and here I am opening closed chapter of my past to you to have a bright future with you." 

"And about burning the letter than this letter might just become a clue to be used against us which I cannot risk."

This was in the first note I read probably written last night.

I tried to register her words before reading the second letter. 

"I want to tell the this truth to you myself as someone else might and it will make you misunderstand me. I have a past way before Rohit, a past no one knows about except me and Rajat bhai. 

From the beginning- My name was Ananya and not Anu, the name given to me, the name that is a bad luck to me. My life was the worst as my mother died right after giving birth, shortly after my dad died in an accident. And as told to me the last thing they did was take my name. Only Rajat bhai stood with me and supported me, helped me study and I managed to finish high school before taking life in my hands and freeing Rajat Bhai to live his life. 

It is during high school that I realized I need a new identity, a new name because someone made me realize it. It was Ayush...He joined my school when I was in 10th grade. He was that popular kid who every girl had a crush on. I wasn't an exception but since I was a nerd and had no chance so I quit thinking about him.  

2 years went by and during the farewell party something happened that left every girl shocked, jealous and angry. He proposed me and I......refused. This left him insulted and angry hurting his ego. Revenging his insult he misbehaved with me and forced me into sleeping with him. I was mentally dead after the event but after few weeks I went into depression as I learnt about my pregnancy....with his child. I somehow managed to carry myself to his house but discovered he went abroad. I tried to get his number and when I did I informed him the result of his revenge. When without emotion and as expected he asked me to go for abortion I did. I was expecting nothing as I knew of his playboy image which I learnt about before his proposal and hence the refusal. He was the biggest bully and playboy and no one dared to act against him as he was rich and had many family contacts and would save him from punishment. At that moment I did abort the child and choose my life because it was difficult to live in a society at 17 while been pregnant. 

After High school I started a new life in Dubai graduating in fashion designing and then starting my own line. This life had a new name, location, identity and everything. 

I know you must be angry, hate me and what not but please get answers to your questions."

After reading the letter I was shocked, angry, had questions but I was more angry on myself that she (Anu) couldn't trust me enough to tell me he (Ayush) is stalking her. I did as she asked me to but every word was still fresh in my head and troubling me. I wanted answers but I decided to wait until morning and went to sleep.

On Anu's side

I was awake and waiting in the balcony as I knew he would read the letter and he did. I am just afraid of his reaction but I know what ever the consequences I will always love him and he will always be my Last Love.
