24. Drinks

No one's pov

"Hey.." Lisa calmly walks to them, trying to interrupt their staring contest.

But to her invalid, the two blandly ignored her like she was just a blow of wind gushing through their ear.

Lisa sighed, already giving up as she knew they both were ambitious people.

"Welp, I'm getting a drink, see you guys later." Almost immediately both of them stared at Lisa, their eyes longing to help.

"No stay here, I will get us some."Jungkook smiled at the girl and then walk off, not forgetting to look back at Jennie, but not with some playful teasing look, neither a victory face, but just a straight face like he was serious.

Lisa couldn't read his face but Jennie's expression seemed like she most definitely knew.

As he walked off, Lisa looks down at Jennie, surprisingly she was staring right back at her.

Lisa gulps, "well, did you say your final goodbyes yet?"

Jennie keeps her straight elegant posture, "Why would I? If I did, she would hate me even more." 

Lisa furrows her eyebrows, "Wait wha-" Before she could even finish her question, Jungkook came back with two drinks in his hands.

He charmingly smiles and hands one of the cups to the Thai, not forgetting to brush his fingers against hers.

Lisa smiles back, "thank yo-" suddenly, a hand grabbed the grapefruit punch-filled glass from hers.

Lisa watches wide-eyed as Jennie chugs the drink, gulping it all down.

"Hey! That wasn't for yo-" Jungkook stares at her in both shock and anger.

"Oh sorry, I was a bit thirsty." Jennie stares back at him, looking at him with innocent eyes which show manipulation.

Jungkook being a pretty smart guy could see right through her. His hand forms a fist, scarring his palms from how deep he was digging his nails into it.

He exhaled and walked off, finally giving up as he felt a negative energy around the woman.

Lisa and Jennie watch him walk to another table and start talking to Yeji's relatives, obviously with Jennie mockingly staring at him.

Lisa turns to look at Jennie but the girl was yet again staring at her soul, "Jesus... You got to stop doing that.." She warns.

The girl just looks down, looking down at Lisa's hands. "What's that?"

Lisa looks down at her own hands, forgetting about Yeji's diary.

"Oh! Yeah uhm, I recently uh started having a really bad stomachache and uhm.." Lisa gulps as the intimidating girl kept her stare at her.

"It's some sort of notebook the doctors gave me for uh, like noting my journey." She tries to sound serious but the excuse itself was hideous.

Jennie stares at her before smirking and simply walking out of the church.

Lisa watches the girl walk away, tilting her head confusedly, she admits that she was slightly hoping for a reaction but earned nothing.

The wind blows the feline-eyed girl's long brown hair, she quickly dialed a number and started calling.

"Hello, ma'am?"

"Hey Jackson, would you do a big favor for me? My name is Jeon Jungkook."
