Chapter Twenty-two

While waiting on the food the Bella asked Benevuto, “So, when exactly did you start working for my husband?” “Well, I have worked with him since he has been here in the US, but I knew him from Italy, he is my best friend.” “Oh”, was all that Bella knew to say. After breakfast they headed to the room, so she could change to go swim. There was a pool on the roof, so she didn’t have to go spend time with the customers, Zach told her about it before they were fighting. So after she was in her black one piece bathing suit they headed to the roof. She ended up staying there all day. During lunch, Benevuto ordered something to be brought up to them.  Bella didn’t eat but she wasn’t hungry. After it started getting dark, they went to the room. Then they ordered dinner. After dinner, Isabella took a shower, and went to bed.

The following day, Isabella got a box. Inside the box was her new computer, there was also a letter in it as well.

            My Dearest Isabella,

                        I am so sorry for the way. I screamed and yelled at you the other night. I know that I should have never done that. However, I am still pissed off because you should have never lied to me, I understand that you had to, but after we married the second time, you should have come clean. I have enrolled you into an online college, where you will be taking Legal Classes. You begin in one week. I don’t know when I will be able to face you again; I know it will not be anytime soon. I am so sorry for this. It’s just that you are 16; maybe if you were 18 it wouldn’t be so bad. I am ten years older than you darling. If I would have known you were 16 I would have never made love to you. Maybe one day you can forgive me, you will always have my heart, but until you are older, I cannot be around you. Benevuto, is and always will be my best friend, we grew up together. I know he will take good care of you. Until I tell him otherwise you two will be staying at the hotel. You are not allowed to leave. I guess I am holding you hostage (ha-ha, me holding my wife hostage and I’m not even around). Just know that I have eyes all over the hotel. Don’t do anything stupid.

After reading the letter, Bella took the lap top out of the bag, asked Benevuto to set it all up for her then she headed to her room. She told him that she wasn’t planning on going anywhere today, just staying in her room. When the laptop is charged please let me know.  When you are hungry just order you something I don’t want to eat. With that said she headed to her room.

Isabella went to the bathroom, ran a hot shower, got in and cried. She cried about all the pain her father has caused her. How she no longer gets to see her brother or sister in law, she even cried about the loss of her husband. He just said he wants nothing to do with her, because of her age. She stayed in the shower for about three hours. After her shower, she put on Zach’s shirt and got into bed. Where she stayed all day. Benevuto didn’t even bother her until around eight that night, when he told her she needed to eat.  She told him she wasn’t’ hungry, with that he told her there was food in the kitchen. After that he left her alone.
