Chapter Fifteen

Back in Zachary’s room, he got a phone call from his dad. “Apparently the chick that you are to marry is there in Vegas. Her father said that if you don’t marry her tonight then the deal is off the table. So it is up to you. But you know we need this deal for the family. Yes father I know we need this deal; it’s just that some stuff happened last night and I need time to deal with it.  But I can see what I can do about it, when I am supposed to marry this girl again.”

“Son, I know you don’t want to get married and all. But you need to. Her father says within two hours you need to be wed. Apparently she tried to disappear on the family last night so now she is being punished.”

“Fine after I get off the phone with you I will deal with the problem I caused last night. Oh another thing. Miles is being sent home to you and Momma, he needs to learn how to behave, he has been lying to people, about who he is, and what he does. I can’t put up with it. So I told him he is coming back home and the cousins can come help me here. It looks like I will be taking a holiday for a day or two. Where exactly am I taking my new bride for a honeymoon? “Bambino that is fine. I will send Franco and Enzo; they will be able to help you run things as they help run things here. It’s up to you where you take the girl; she is under 18 so I am sure there are not a lot of places to take here there in the US. Why not take her to Hawaii or something, let her spend money I am sure that will make her happy.”

With that they got off the phone, he noticed that he only had an hour to get things done. He called the girl’s Father and spoke with him for a few moments. “Jordan, this is Zachary here, I was wondering about you daughter, is it a good thing for her to marry me she is kind of young and all?” “Look, Zachary, it will be fine you will marry her in an hour and then you and she will be married forever. She gets to get away from her brother for a while, and you get more businesses in Cali. So it’s up to you. What do you want to do?”

“Father, I will marry her. Look I will meet you at the Little White Wedding Chapel in an hour. I have something I have to do first.” With that he hung up the phone. And went to find his tux, and got dressed. He called his brother and told him that they were going to the wedding chapel and doing a quick marriage. They would go pay the guy to do the ceremony but he would not be doing a real wedding certificate. That way no one can get into trouble. After talking to his brother he got a text from his wife. He responded with “Where are you getting married at?” “Isabella responded; I don’t know. My father will not tell me.

After that he told him not to worry about it everything will be ok, he has it all covered. With that he started thinking to himself. If she is getting married, I bet I am the guy she is marrying. God I hope so, especially since I kind of remember what all happened last night. She hasn’t said anything about them having unprotected sex, hope she doesn’t get Prego, if she isn’t the one I am marrying.

After the brothers were dressed they headed to the Little White Wedding Chapel. The guy that owned it was afraid of Zachary, so Zachary told him “Look, I was married last night to some chick I don’t know. Well today, I was told that I have to marry another chick that I don’t know. You are going to do the ceremony and it is going to look like it’s the real deal.  If you mess this up for me I will have you killed. Do you understand me?”

Stan, the guy that ran the chapel looked like he was going to be sick, but he answered Zachary. “Yes Mr. Marino, I understand. I will do whatever you want please just don’t hurt me. I will even do the ceremony free of charge.”

Zachary and Miles loved that idea. They hadn’t even thought about that. So they told him fine. After that they both had to wait until Zachary’s bride was to show up. While waiting Miles asked his brother: “Zach, do I really have to go back, I mean I love it here, I promise that I won’t get in the way anymore, but please don’t send me back to Italy. Mum and pa, will make me get a real job, or go back to school. I mean here people think I am in my 20 but there I will be my real age.”  “Miles you have to go back. I am getting married now, I can’t have you here doing as you please, and I am going to try to make this marriage work, since I am stuck in it for life. So after I am married and I am on my honeymoon you will be going back to Italy.”

After that conversation the brothers headed to finish getting ready. They were dressed and all but they need to get their hair fixed and look good, as they were both meeting not only the bride but the bride’s family as well. Zachary had never met the Genovese’s before; he knew they were influential people thought. His uncle had worked with Brady before, and they had killed a guy for stealing from them. So he knew they were not to be messed with.
