"Darn, this is the last water," my mom said as she pulled it out of the small cooler and began drinking it.

"I'll run up and grab some more if you want... From the room."

"That would be great. Oh and do you mind packing a small basket of lunch for everybody? It's almost time to eat."

"Sure," I pulled the room key out of her tote bag and walked back up to the room.

Walking up to the door I notice something is on the ground. As I got closer, I realized it was a small crimson rose, with a note tied to it, the note read:

"Sorry about canceling our plans, I'll definitely make it up too you tomorrow though.

~Wren"

Aww, that was sweet. I unlocked the door and carried the delicate rose to my room, putting it in a small cup of water in the window. I went back into the small kitchen area and grabbed a few waters and placed them in a picnic basket I found under the sink. Rummaging through the refrigerator, I found some lunch meat and bread. After putting all of it in the basket I headed back to the beach.

"Is this good?" I asked politely as I sat the full picnic basket next to my mom.

"Looks tasty," she said as she pulled the contents out. "Kids, it's time to eat!" She called to the small dots out in the ocean. I looked for Danny, but I guess his shift was over.

We left around three. We figured we would go and have some fun at the amusement park or the mall.

"Oh!! Look an ice cream shop!" Presley shouted. I looked over and realized it's the same one Wren and I wanted to go to. I remember he said he wanted to be the first one to take me.

"I want ice cream!" Cameron demanded.

"That sounds like a good idea, what do you think?" She asked my dad. He stared at me and I shook my head no but, I'm not sure he understood because he said "sounds good too me."

Great. Now I have to fake an illness to get out of going to this ice cream parlor. I could just go and not tell Wren, but that's lying, and lying is not my forte.

"Hey mom, can I stay out here, I need some fresh air." I said holding my head like I had a headache.

"Honey, you've been outside all day. What's wrong?"

"My head just hurts I need too sit down for a second."

"Okay, just come inside and sit down," she took my arm and led me inside, I guess as long as I don't eat the ice cream I'll be good.

Everyone walked back to our table with huge cones and cups full of delicious looking ice cream. I was so tempted, but I held back.

"Are you sure you don't want any?" My mom asked sweetly.

"I'm good, I'm not too hungry right now," I lied. I'm starving. Those sandwiches didn't fill me up too much. Luckily, dinner is in a few hours, I could probably hold off until then.

"What should we do next you guys?" My dad asked.

"Take a nap!" My little sister, Lillie, smiled. Thats surprising, she never want to take naps. She must be really tired from playing in the ocean for so long.

"I think that's a wonderful idea," my mom said.

"Is that okay with everyone else?" Dad asked, trying to get everyone included.

"I want to go to the amusement park!" My little brothers shouted in sync.

"How about you take the girls back to the hotel and I take the boys to the fair?" My dad suggested to my mom.
