Start:
Francine never thought na she will step foot again sa Pilipinas after nyang umalis 5 years ago. Sinundo sya ng bestfriend nya na si Andrea.
"Chin!" Andrea called habang papalapit kina Francine.
Andrea smiled warmly at her bestfriend, before looking at the little figure beside Francine.
"Hi, angel." Andrea smiled to the little girl na nakahawak sa kamay ni Francine.
"Oh, nak, say hi to your Ninang Andrea." Urge ni Francine sa anak.
"Chin, it's Ninang Ganda. Ano ka ba?" Biro ni Andrea.
"Hello." They child shyly said before moving closer to her mother.
"Nahihiya pa ata." Andrea turned her attention back to Francine. "Tara na, nasa parking lot yung sasakyan."
They started walking with Andrea helping them with the luggages they have.
"Is Seth with you ba?" Francine asked.
"Oo." Tango ni Andrea. "Sya nagdrive ngayon. Okay lang naman diba?"
"O-oo naman." Francine smiled.
"Are you staying for good na ba?" Tanong muli ni Andrea as they cross the road.
"Hmm, siguro?" Unsure na sagot ni Francine. "Gusto kase nila Mama na dito na lang kami ni Cassie."
"Welcome home, Chin." Bati ni Seth nung magkita na sila nito.
They gave each other a quick hug before tumingin si Seth kay Cassie.
"Hi, princess." Seth smiled.
"Hi." Cassie shyly replied.
After nila ilagay ang mga bagahe sa likod ng sasakyan, nagsimula na silang bumiyahe to Quezon City.
"If there is one thing na hindi ko namiss sa Manila, it's traffic." Francine says since almost 30mins na walang usad ang sasakyan nila.
"Ang gandang bata." Seth says habang tinitignan ang natutulog na si Cassie from the rear view mirror.
"What's her full name pala?" Andrea asked.
"Cassiopeia Kylie Diaz." Sagot ni Francine.
Andrea wanted to ask kung bakit hindi surname ng tatay ang ginamit ni Francine for her child. But, she worries na it may ruin the moment. And, baka may wounds na biglang magbukas muli.
They finally arrived sa condo na pinahiram ni Andrea kay Francine for a while before sila tumuloy sa Cebu ng anak nito. May mga documents pa kasi na need ayusin si Francine.
"So, saglit lang kayo dito sa Manila, tapos sa Cebu na for good?" Seth asked.
"Oo." Francine shrugged. "Dun naman talaga hometown ko e. Mas gusto ko na dun na din lumaki si Cassie. Malayo dito sa Manila, malayo kung san malapit sya."
Nagkatinginan saglit sina Andrea, at Seth.
"Hindi mo ba sasabihin sakanya?" Andrea asked.
"I think hindi na nya need malaman." Francine answered. "Besides, ayaw nya ng anak, diba?"
You can feel the bitterness in Francine's tone. You can feel a bit of a pain on that statement.
"Sorry." Andrea says.
