"What's up babyface?" Hakeem asks looking at his phone, throwing his gaming headset around his neck.

He gave me a 'stop lying to me' look.
I sighed and started again.
"My professor just gave me a low ass grade for my paper." I frowned. "I worked really hard on it!"
"You mean that paper that was extra credit? The one you told me where you had to talk about something that changed your life?" He shook his head and laughed.
"Why are you laughingggg?" I whined, crossing my arms. "Nothing's funny. His crooked teeth having ass gave me a 87 for that paper."
"Babyface that's amazing! Shit you did better than me, I would've got a 69 or lower because my life was so boring before I met you."
"Haha very funny." I rolled my eyes, grinning from ear to ear. "Tell me another lie."
"I'm not lying. I swear. Since I first met you when I first started hanging around Nolan and them, I was interested in you, but I didn't wanna be a creep cuz you were a gerb."
"Boy bye!"
"You know you don't want me to get off the phone. I'll stay right here, but tell you what? Let me take you out and hopefully shift your mind from that grade. What do you say? Hmm?"
"But-"
"But nothing. Let me take you out!"
Surrending, I gave in.
"Fine fine. I'll allow you to take me out." I rolled my eyes. "When tho?"
"How about later tonight? Maybe around 7? Sound good?"
"I'll have to go get my nails and eyebrows plucked now then." I threw my MacBook aside and got up from my comfortable spot on the couch.
"Yea I'll cashapp you money to go do that. Aiii?"
"You don't have to do that. You know I hate when people spend money on me!"
"Yes I know and each time you tell me that I'm gonna say I could careless." He winked. "I'll leave you to it then and text me when you get to the shop."
