Neveah's POV

"Well fuck me."

Inside of Target stood, the twins, Nolan, Jalen, and Turq who was flirting with one of the cashiers. Vivian seemed to have heard me and turned around. She smiled and waved. In return, I plastered a fake smile on my face and waved back.

"Do you want to go to another store? We can-" Hakeem started.

I interrupted. "No I'm fine. Let's just shop and please don't make it more awkward then it already is."

He nodded and looked down at Keenan who was fast asleep in his stroller. He was full from all the food he had at iHop.

"Let's head over there by the baby stuff before anybody else notice I'm in here. I don't feel like talking to anyone right," I started speed walking but then slowed after I started getting hot. Mind you the air conditioning was booming in here.

"Aye aye. Slow down lil lady," called out Hakeem from behind me. "The baby clothes ain't going nowhere!"

Catching back up to me he immediately grabs my hand. The coldness of his hand made me shiver in which he let go of my hand.

"My hand too cold? I'm sorry. Here you can hold onto my arm instead."

Wrapping my arm around his, we continued our journey towards the baby section.

"Aww what a beautiful family you all are!" A elder lady expresses while walking in our direction.

"Thank you ma'am. That's nice if you to say, but we-"

Hakeem cut me off .

"-we are also expecting a little girl," he smiled and nodded.

"Aww how sweet is that! I'm wishing you a smooth delivery my love. I know mine was torture when I had my twin boys," she chuckled. "I'll let you all get back to shopping now. Bu-bye!"

Hakeem smiled and said goodbye as we parted ways. Me, on the other hand, I want to get what I need and head to another store.

Vivian appears and scares the hell out of me. "Hey you ok?"

"Jesus Viv! If you wanted me to pee myself why don't you just go right ahead then!" I squeeze my thighs together tightly.

"I'm sorry girly. I thought you heard me coming," She nervously laughed. "How are you and my niece doing?"

"Hello to you too Vivian," voices Hakeem from next to me.

"Right right. Hello there Hakeem," she half-heartedly responds. "Anyways, you never answered my question Veah. How is my niece?!"

"So that's why you're walking around with him? You're pregnant for him?!" Expressed a very obnoxiously loud Jalen. "I taught you better than this Neveah! How far along are you?"

"All you need to know that my due date is a couple months away. I didn't want you to find out like this but here we are in the middle of Target with people staring at us," I sighed. "Look let's talk more about this later, okay? Can I please just do my shopping in peace without you going all Donkey Kong on us?"

  "Fine but this isn't over."

It seemed like he was more so talking to Hakeem more than me.

I began to feel Hakeem's muscles flex as he clutches his fist. Prying his hand open I slip my fingers through his own and held on tight. By now his hand wasn't cold anymore so I could hold it.

"O...kay. Um. I'll talk to you later Veah. I love you girly and I'm sorry this had to happen this way."

  Sighing, I just shrugged.
