Present Day... Several Months Later...
Neveah's POV
Ma hasn't said a word about what the conversation she had on my phone a couple months ago. Every time I would try to bring it up, she would change the subject.
"Good morning ma. How did you sleep?"
"I didn't."
That's another thing. She doesn't go to sleep like she usually would and therefore she would miss her early shift alarms in the mornings.
"Momma-" I started, but she cut me off.
"-don't even bother wasting your breath yet again. Just leave it alone. I'm fine. I'll take a nap later," She assured me.
"Alright well just know that I'm leaving in a bit to meet up with that man and I'm excited," I sarcastically said. "I still can't stand him."
"I'm going to need you to grow up! You decided to lay down with him and now you're having my grandbaby so you got to deal with him for the rest of your life-"
"-But-"
"-I said enough is enough Neveah!" She huffed. "You're being childish now."
I just closed my eyes and rested my head on my arms. I couldn't say anything else furthermore even attempt to argue because I'm literally breaking down inside. I've slowly slipped into a slight depression state, however I am trying to fight against for both the baby and me.
*DING*
Speaking of the devil😒Short notice my ass.
Not even bothering to answer him, I got up from my seat at the kitchen island. I placed my cereal bowl and spoon in the dishwasher.
"What happen now?" Momma asks from the sink. "What do he do this time?"
"It was his time to spend the weekend with his son so he's bringing him with us," I grumbled and rolled my eyes. "I didn't think this was going to be a meet and greet."
