Crops:

4 lettuce, 4/8 days

5 peas, 4/12 days

Funds: None

Journal:

So, the crows ate one of my crops this morning. I can't be sure it was them, but they've been eyeing that particular lettuce patch for a couple days now. I managed to scare them off before, but it was only a matter of time.

Add scarecrow to the list of things I need.

In fact...

List: What would you like to add?

Well, a scarecrow for starters. And, what was it? Oh, right. An umbrella. Maybe a nice green one like what my mother once gave me...

...and a barn!

List:

Scarecrow

Umbrella

Barn

I feel like there was something else... but I'm sure it'll come to me.

Shop: What would you like to buy?

I need rations, so... I'll have to sell this.

Shop: Basic alchemy set - 10 coins

New funds: 10 coins

And give me two rations, I suppose.

New funds: None

New rations: 2

Map: Where would you like to go?

What's a nearby place to walk your critters?

Map: Elkwood park - 1.2 km due East

Hey, that's not bad! Not too far, looks pretty big. Cool.

List: What would you like to add?

Remind me to take Pip for a walk in Elkwood park, and to buy back my alchemy set, if I can ever afford it. Oh, and some better gardening tools, gloves, that sort of thing. I'm exhausted.

List:

Elkwood park

Basic alchemy set

Gardening gloves

Journal:

Today I discovered Pip will eat the leafy weeds I pluck from my garden, which is a big relief. It means he didn't eat a ration today. I still offered it to him, don't get me wrong. I'm not cruel. But he didn't take it, which is good. Being at zero this morning was scary.

Not much else to say about today. I spent most of it grooming and coddling the little Scatterpillar. It wasn't part of my master plan or anything, but every time I let him out to graze, he would just follow me around begging for attention. I get the feeling he's starting to grow quite fond of me, the little bugger.

Apart from that... I spent a lot of the day putting together a makeshift scarecrow using the broom, my dirt plow, and some rocks for support. After many hours of effort to get it just right, the end result is... pretty disappointing. Hopefully the crows don't know any better. At least until the first harvest.

Rations remaining: 1

End.
