At the high school, Dudley sat alone in a classroom where a lazy sounding teacher was talking.
"Okay, everyone, I know we're all excited about our new morning broadcast, Giddy-up Galveston" said the teacher.
Dudley looked behind him to see there was no one else in the room.
"Ms Dulude? By everyone, do you mean me? Because we're the only people in this room" he said.
"And I wouldn't be if I hadn't lost rock paper scissors to the Spanish teacher. Curse you, Señora Arreguin!" said the teacher, Ms Dulude.
Newton came in and said "Hello, Ms Dulude. I'm here to audition for the sportscaster".
"Well, talk to Producer Leicester" said Ms Dulude.
"I'm the producer?" said Dudley excitedly.
"It's either you or that chair" said Ms Dulude.
"Right then. Have I got the part?" said Newton.
"That depends. What qualifications do you have?" said Dudley picking up a producer's tone.
"Well, this" said Newton pointing to his own face.
He continued with "A very cool sportscaster name. Diesel Touchdown. And charisma for days".
"The only thing you have for days is gas after you eat sauerkraut. Seriously, what is going on in there?" said Dudley.
Shauna entered right after he said that.
"Hi, news team! This just in: me!" she said.
"Miss Shauna, you're trying out for Giddy-up Galveston?" said Dudley.
"I don't have to try. I've got this" said Shauna pointing to her wide smile.
"So you and Newton both have faces. Wonderful" said Dudley sarcastically.
"Being on Giddy-up Galveston could launch my brilliant career in infotainment" said Shauna.
"Infotainment? That's not even a word" said Dudley.
"Try telling that to the dictionary" said Shauna.
"So it's a conspiracy" said Dudley.
Just then, a blonde girl wandered into the room.
"My. Bird alert!" said Newton.
"Dudley!" said the girl.
"Dina Devil Davenport. If you're here, who's taking care of your flying monkeys?" said Dudley.
"Dudley, are you going to introduce me to your friend?" said Newton.
He faced Dina, shook her hand and said "Diesel Touchdown. Sports".
"She's not my friend! She bullied me in front of Penelope and her friends" said Dudley.
"Look, Dudley, I'm so sorry. I was horrible to you" said Dina.
She looked at Shauna and said "I was horrible to your stepsister too, Shauna. I promise I learnt my lesson and I wanna start over".
"Well, I don't" said Shauna.
"I'm not asking to be BFFs, but can we at least be Fs? Please?" said Dina.
"Well... oh, okay! I hate holding grudges. The stress gives me pimples" said Shauna.
"Good decision. As the producer, I can't put on people who weren't friends. Or people with pimples. Miss Shauna, you and Dina can be co-anchors" said Dudley.
He looked at Ms Dulude and said "What do you think, Ms Dulude?"
"I think I should get in my car and just keep driving" said Ms Dulude staring into space.
