(Chapter 25)

(Karl's pov)

I watched as he pulled out of the hug and wiped his face. His eyes were red from crying, but he still looked so pretty. He's so pretty. He starts to laugh quietly before starting to speak again.

"I'm sorry you had to see me like that." he hides his face with his hand.

"You know, it's normal to show emotions. Your human, humans feel things. Emotions are what make you human Sap." I say and rub his upper back.

"What did Quackity want to talk about?" He asks, clearly changing the subject. I remove my hand from his back, I ball up both of my fists in my lap. I take a deep breath.

"He was drunk, I couldn't make out anything he said, so I just hung up." I say and give him a small smile. But on the inside I'm dying, if Sapnap knew half of what Quackity said to me he would be dead.

Sapnap smiled, "I'll take your word for it."

It hurt me to hide the truth from him, but I thought it was for the best. I'm sorry, Sap.

"But," He started, causing me to flinch, "if something ever happens, please let me know." His pretty eyes looked at me.

"Of course, Sap, don't worry." I tousled his hair as I laughed.

He let out a soft giggle as he got up from the couch. As he walked into the other room, I turned my phone on silent. Quackity continued to drunk-text me, so I ignored him whilst regaining my thoughts. And overwhelming guilt started to take me over, though I tried not to show it. Should I have told him the whole truth? If so, how would he react? The possibilities pained me like a knife stabbing me in the chest, and guilt was the only thing felt in the wound. I bit my nails as I stared at the wall, overthinking the situation. Placing my hand on the couch, I accidentally hit one of the buttons on the TV remote.

"No, please!" The TV blared, startling me, "Don't go!"

Sapnap dashed into the room, quick to turn the TV off. He laughed slightly, a nervousness written all over his face.

"Sap?" I looked at him, concerned for what I had just seen, "Were you watching that before I came in?"

"Pfft, no, you must have just hit a button." He laughed it off once more.

"Oh, Sap." I got up to hug him.

He looked ashamed, but his expression made me laugh. He had fixed his hair, so I tousled it once again.

"Since when did you watch shows like that?" I joked.

"It must have been a button." He protested, though he laughed as well.

He turned back into the other room, only causing me to feel more guilt. Maybe I should have just told him..
