Chapter 12

(Y/N POV)

When me and my dad get to the door, I knock and wait for someone to answer. Not even a second later. Dib opens the door and says. "O-oh hi Y/N, Y/N's dad, i-its nice to meet you." Dib then reaches out his hand for my dad to shake, my dad takes his hand and says. "Nice to meet you too Dib, I've heard a lot about you." My dad smiles and I blush a little. Dib then looks at me and smiles. "Hey Y/N-" before he could finish, I hugged him, and then let go. "Sorry, I'm just really excited." Dib smiles. "Me too, why don't you guys come inside and make yourselves at home." Dib opens the door for us and we walk in. "Wow Dib, it looks really nice." I said. "T-thanks." Dibs dad soon walks up to me and says. "Hi Y/N, I've heard tons about you." I smile, and Dibs dad soon walks up to mine and they start talking about whatever adults talk about. I look at Dib and say. "Pillow fort?" He nods and smiles with confidence. "Pillow fort." Me and Dib run into the living room and create a pillow fort, made of some couch pillows, plushies, and a sheet for the roof top. We set up some lights on the inside too. "Wow Dib, this is awesome! We really did some great work" I smile, and he smiles back. "Well what are we waiting for, let's go inside!" We both crawl inside and lay down on our stomachs. But as soon as we get comfy. "Kids! Dinner!" I hear my dad call for us. Dib and I soon walk to the table and sit down. There was, ham, cheesey potatoes, and some corn. "Wow, this looks amazing, thanks for having us sir!" I say to Dibs dad. He chuckles. "Just call me Mr.Membrane" I smile. "Ok!" We all start to eat and it's so good, Dibs dad must be a really good cook. When all of us are done eating, we head down to the living room, my dad says. "Well what did you kids build here?" "A pillow fort!" Me and Dib say at the same time. We look at each other and then we laugh. After that Dib grabs the remote. But his dad says. "No son, let your friend pick, she is out guest after all." He looks at me and we nod, I take the remote and put on. "Mysterious Mysteries" and Dib and I lay next to each other in our pillow fort. "I love this show" my dad says. When me and Dib are laying down, I rest my head on his shoulder and smile. He starts to blush a little, I then wrap my arms around his arm and he starts to blush like crazy. But we watch the show anyway, in the middle of it I start to doze off, and I fall asleep. When I wake up I notice that Dib is still there. "Dib?" I yawn. "Y-yeah" he says with a adorable stutter. "What time is it?" I ask. "A-around 7:00 the show i-is almost o-over." Dib starts to blush again. I smile, and lean back on him. "Thanks for keeping me company Dib boy" he blush gets redder. "D-dib boy?" I smile. "Yeah! I thought it was a cute nickname, is it okay if I call you that?" I ask, and he smiles. "Y-yeah of course, I-i like it too." Once we're done talking, the show ends and me and my dad walk to the door. "It was fun meeting you guys, we had a wonderful time." My dad says, and I look at Dib. "I'll see you tomorrow Dib boy!" I hug him, walk out the door with my dad, and go home.

(Dibs POV)

After waiting for a minute or two, I hear a knock at the door. I open it to see Y/N and her dad. "O-oh hi Y/N, Y/N's dad, i-its nice to meet you." I then take out my hand to shake Y/N's dad's hand. He soon takes my hand and shakes it. "Nice to meet you too Dib, I've heard a lot about you." I let go, and the I look at Y/N and smile. "Hey Y/N-" Not even a second later, Y/N hugs me and I blush a little. Sorry, I'm just really excited." Her words make me smile, she's really adorable. "Me too, why don't you guys come inside and make yourselves at home." I open the door for them and they walk inside. "Wow Dib, it looks really nice." Y/N says to me with a smile. "T-thanks" God she's really cute sometimes. My dad soon walks up to Y/N and says "Hi Y/N, I've heard tons about you." She smiles, and then dad walks over to Y/N's dad, and talk about adult things, probably I dunno. Y/N then looks at me and says. "Pillow fort?" I give her a confident smile and say. "Pillow fort." We both run to the living room and start building a pillow fort out of some couch pillows, plushies, and a sheet for the roof. We put some lights in there too, it looks kinda romantic. "Wow Dib, this is awesome! We really did some great work" She smiles at me and I smile back. "Well what are we waiting for, let's go inside!" We both crawl inside, and as soon as we get comfortable. "Kids! Dinner!" I hear Y/N's dad say, we both walk to the dinner table and sit down. For dinner we have some ham, cheesey potatoes, and corn. Y/N looks amazed. "Wow, this looks amazing, thanks for having us sir!" She says to my dad, and he chuckles. "Just call me Mr.Membrane" Y/N smiles and says. "Ok!" We start to eat, and finish pretty quickly. When we're all done we head down to the living room. "Well what did you kids build here?" Y/N's dad says. "A pillow fort!" Y/N and I said it at the same time and we laughed. After a bit I grab the remote, but my dad says. "No son, let your friend pick, she is out guest after all." Y/N and I look at each other and we nod, I hand her the remote and she puts on "Mysterious Mysteries" "yess" I say under my breath. Me and Y/N then get into our pillow fort and lay down. "I love this show" Y/N's dad says. When me and Y/N are laying down, she rests her head on my shoulder and smiles. I start to blush, God she's cute. She then wraps her arms around my arm, and that's when I blush like crazy. OH MY LORD. A GIRL IS CUDDLING ME. She soon falls asleep, her dad comes by quick and snaps a picture and runs off. I wanted to do something but, Y/N is just so cute when she's sleeping. "Please don't wake up." I whisper to myself, and then give her head a quick kiss. AAH I JUST DID THAT!? While I'm still blushing, Y/N wakes up. "Dib?" She yawns and it's the cutest thing I have ever heard. "Y-yeah" I ask. "What time is it?" She asks rubbing her eyes, why is she being so cute today? "A-around 7:00 the show i-is almost o-over." My blush gets a little brighter. She leans back on my shoulder and smiles. She so warm, I wish she didn't have to get up soon. "Thanks for keeping me company Dib boy" My blush then gets even worse, WHY IS SHE SO CUTE AAH!?! "D-dib boy?" I said, and she smiles. Yeah! I thought it was a cute nickname, is it okay if I call you that?" I smile, I like it when she gives nicknames, she's so sweet. I smile. "Y-yeah of course, I-i like it too." After a little bit, Y/N and her dad have to go, we all go by the door to say our goodbyes. "It was fun meeting you guys, we had a wonderful time." Y/N's dad says with a smile. Y/N then looks at me and says. I'll see you tomorrow Dib boy!" She hugs me and then walks out the door with her dad. I smile and go upstairs to get ready for bed. I brush my teeth, put on my pajamas and lay down. I can't seem to sleep, so I grab an extra pillow, and pretend it's Y/N. As soon as I cuddle with it, I fall asleep right away.
