I exit my biology classroom with a smile after realizing Donna was gonna be my partner for the rest of the year. But that euphoria didn't last long because when I looked to my right I saw Matty and his minions through the crowds of hallway people. My face immediately dropped and I quickly started walking in the opposite direction. Heading anywhere, I was begging to bump into Robin. We weren't necessarily friends, he's in my math class and would come over to my house sometimes to study. He's actually very nicer than people describe him to be.

My eyes met the sigh of a boys bathroom from the distance. I nearly shoved this girl trying to by-pass her to get in.

As I entered the bathroom my eyes scatter, there was nobody in here, that's just perfect (not really) one thing about them especially Matty they wouldn't jump me in front of other people. I guess reputation matters to them or something.

I had to act fast. I went to the last stall closing and locking it obviously.i gather my stuff and hurried my feet on- top of the toilet seat. But suddenly my foot slipped and one of my shoes fell in the toilet water

A cuss slipped from my mouth but then my heart jumped as I heard the door bang open.i quickly slap a hand over my mouth.

"You really think we didn't see you walk in here huh, Finney?" Matty says

"Come on out fa9" I heard buzz add

I don't wanna get out of this stall, knowing they are on the other side. And going to beat me up good like they do every time. Of course I imagine the worse.if I didn't walk out of this stall right now they would drag me out. Pull me against the sink and punch me, throw me to the ground and kick my ribs. It's happened before. So I got down from the toilet and walked out of the stall. Seeing all of them not far across from me

My mind screaming at me to run but I couldn't.my legs felt numb. Plus even if I tried Matt would block the way with his arm

As Matt was about to say something.Suddenly the bathroom door slams open, Robin appears

He stares at them 3.Analyzing the room. I told him about them jumping me before. He looks over matty's shoulder and sees my feared look

"

Move, Dipshits, he says turning back to Matt

They all move without hesitation. Robin goes over to the sink turning it on and washing the blood off his knuckles from the previous fight with moose and I knew Matt and his friends were there for it.

"Hey Finn, what's happening" he stared at me through the mirror

"Oh..just keeping on keeping on i guess" I say responding to Robin but still keeping my eyes on the three still standing there believing they would still make a move even though Robin was in the room

Robin hums in response and takes a second look at the three.

There's a silence for a good minute, the three decide to turn around to leave but Robin speaks up

"Moose got some damn sharp teeth, made my knuckles bleed all 1st period. ". As he finished saying that the three started to turn around and leave until Robin spoke up again "Wait"

He says, grabbing paper towels from the dispenser

Robin turned to them "fuck with Finn again. I fuck with you"

They all nod. They seemed to stay still for a while, thinking he had more to say. But he didn't

"You can leave now" Robin says

The three were basically tripping over each other as they ran out

Robin was taping up his hand at the sink. After they left. I say thank you to Robin as I walk over to the urinal

"Your gonna have to stand up for yourself one of these days"

"Yeah I know ,that's what everyone seems to tell me"

"Well whoever is 'everyone'. They seem like they know a thing or two"

I looked away from Robin, lightly sighing, feeling some of the stress leave my nerves and Robin saving me from having me to tell my sister another fake story. I didn't know why he fought Moose, I don't know why Moose would even try anything like that anyway.

Moose, or anyone trying to take on Robin in a fight is like a Squirrel trying to kill a Saber tooth tiger. Well maybe not for Pinball Vance hopper anyway. I wanted to ask him

"hey why'd you fight moose?"

"He was just shit talking. Was pretty sure he'd back down..Nope!" Robin responded

We both shared a laugh

"I was so surprised when he swung to me like that" he adds

"I mean did you have to?,seemed like you really hurt him" I said. As I walk over to the sink to wash my hands as he passes me and leans against a stall

"I was just gonna knock his ass down, whale on him a bit. But doing that wouldn't have drawn blood. In a situation like that,and having a crowd like that as well.i always say...The more blood the better makes a stronger point" he said putting his fist up

I nodded in agreement

"This might take you by surpise but.Who was that one girl in the crowd with the curly black hair.the one that was with you and your sister"

"Marliyn?" I said

"Yeah,I haven't seen her around" he askes me

"She's quiet like me. She sticks by herself. But she's really nice when you get to know her. I can invite her to sit with me at lunch so that you'll have a chance to meet her"

"Yeah sure, thanks Finn" he responds
