THE WHOLE CASTLE HELD THEIR BREATH AS the King screamed and cursed his wife, who in turn yelled back at him, throwing anything she could find his way. Their faces were painted with scowls, though on the Queen's face there were hot tears streaming down her cheeks.
"YOU WILL NOT TAKE HER FROM ME! I FORBID IT!" The Queen screamed, birds flying away in the distance, scared of the shrieking royal pair. And who wouldn't be? A powerful Queen and a powerful King in a heated discussion would have every Kingdom shudder in fear.
The King turned to look at his dear wife and grimaced. "You will be silent, wife! I cannot stand your useless yelling anymore." He raised a hand to run down his face as his back turned towards the raging female.
Slow steps indicated that she was nearing him as she spoke. "You are talking about sending my child away, Amon. I will not allow it. She is mine."
"Ah, that's where you're wrong, dear wife. She's our child. And I, as the King of this realm, will do as I please with it. You can't tell me no,"—he began to turn and stride towards her menacingly—"my Kingdom, my rules. Your word means nothing here," he said, just before he stopped in front of his now wide-eyed wife.
"No," she whispered desperately. "No. Why do you do this?"
Her hands then gripped onto his fine dress-shirt, her eyes shining with tears as a psychotic glint passed in them, before a crazy smile graced her lips. Then a wicked laugh escaped past her lips as she sniffed. "You-you think this is the finale? That you get to say: end?"
Running her pointer finger along the side of his face, sharp nail grazing Amon's temple with a bit more force than necessary. "You think you will get away with this unpunished?" She smiled.
The King of Hybern looked down at the Queen blankly, eyes not betraying a thing. "This is the end," he snarled menacingly, hatred burning in his eyes. He had never wanted to marry her, never wanted to share his throne with anyone. The power had been supposed to be his, and his alone. Some female wouldn't stand in his way to greatness. He wouldn't let her destroy everything he worked for. All those years shouldn't have been spend in vain.
He wouldn't let her ruin it.
So he smirked as he looked down upon her. As the light left her eyes. As the realisation of his power finally settled in. As the Queen realised that the King had just murdered her in cold blood. As the blood from the wound in her stomach began to hurt. As she felt the dagger embedded in between her guts.
Her eyes said it all and in some sick, twisted way it brought him joy. But she managed to rasp out one thing, before she saw the end near. "The ice will break and from it a warrior shall emerge."
The King had only huffed and ordered his guards to get rid of the body. No one was to be in his way.
No one.

Author's note: Well, I know this is short, but. . . I liked this ending. The whole dying in cold blood thing was fun to write :)
