hueningkai let out a dry chuckle as his eyes stared at taehyun and yeonjun's cowering body.

"you want to know why?" he mumbled, his eyes darting towards yeonjun. "you never noticed, did you?" hueningkai asked, a hint of disbelief in his voice as he stared into yeonjun's brown eyes.

"noticed what?!" yeonjun exclaimed, "noticed that my BOYFRIEND was in love with YOU the entire time." huening spat, turning his eyes to taehyun.

"what?" yeonjun gasped out, looking at taehyun with a confused look on his face.

"so of course, i stayed with him...despite the fact that he was nowhere near in love with me..." hueningkai explained, "and i don't know why..."

"because you, choi yeonjun, are no better than me-falling in love with a serial killer?" he cackled, causing yeonjun to furrow his eyebrows.

"i didn't know." yeonjun whispered, his eyes falling to the ground. hueningkai let out a curling laugh, "it's not that i don't like you yeonjun, i do...well i DID." he said, emphasizing the did, "it's just taehyun deserves to be with me."

"not some low life like you." he grunted, anger rising.

"so you team up with my psychotic ex?" yeonjun questioned, "that KILLED my brother? that killed plenty of people in korea? that almost killed taehyun?" yeonjun asked, letting his hands curl into a fist.

"oh please, he was never supposed to hurt taehyun, it was supposed to be you." hueningkai said, rolling his eyes. "i never told him to hurt taehyun, i simply wanted him to scare him a bit." huening explained.

"he tied me up? and held me hostage?! and YOU called the police?" taehyun spoke softly, his mind racing with all the facts that he had been gathering.

huening locked eyes with yeonjun, "i hope he kills you." hueningkai whispered, only to where yeonjun could hear.

"enough chit chatting, let's go." seokjin spoke as he put the black haired boy in hand cuffs. "see you in hell yeonjun."

that was the last thing huening said before being dragged out of the house, with officer jeongguk staying in the living room.

"i'm going to stay here...in case soobin comes back but i'm going to step into the other room, just so y'all can talk." jeongguk said softly, feeling guilty for the two boys.

as jeongguk walked off, yeonjun and taehyun stood in awkward silence.

a light sniffle could be heard, causing yeonjun to whip his head towards taehyun. "im sorry." taehyun whispered, "you weren't supposed to find out like that...or find out in general." taehyun said, wiping his tears off with the hem of his sweater.

taehyun walked over to the couch, and lightly sat on the edge. his fingers messing with the fringe of the ends.

yeonjun smiled, and walked over towards taehyun. "you shouldn't apologize." yeonjun stated, a slight smile on his face.

of course yeonjun wouldn't want to find out this way; if anything yeonjun wasn't quite ready for a relationship. he's been scared to even remotely speak about his feelings, in fear that someone like soobin would show up again.

"don't feel bad for your feelings." yeonjun started, causing taehyun to turn his head, "so that means you don't feel the same way?" he asked, a hint of hopefulness in his eyes.

"i never said that, i just need some time. im still scared of allowing myself to be open with having feelings again...i never said i didn't love you." yeonjun explained, his mind trying to wrap around what he was saying.

he loves taehyun, of course he does, he always has. if anything taehyun was his first love; it's just with everything with soobin...he was scared.

yeonjun looked at the time, and smiled. "let's talk about this after the whole soobin is found situation," yeonjun started, "i should get going. stay safe taehyun." yeonjun spoke.

taehyun mumbled a you too, and yeonjun walked out of the door.

darkness being surrounded by his small frame, he pushed his hands into the depths of his pockets. anxiety inching its way through his bones.

who knew where soobin could be.
