"It's just every time I think about it, you know, it's like a nightmare. I mean, I can't eat, I can't sleep. It's always just there, watching me." Dean says as he, Sam, and Billy walk through the bunker.
"Dean, it's just a beard." Sam scoffs. "I've been a little busy lately."
"Yeah, well, that's not an excuse." Dean says. "Cause, you know, Duck Dynasty called and they want it back. They want it all back."
"Some people say I look good." Sam shrugs.
"No, Sam. No people say that." Dean argues.
"Hey, you know." Sam stops Dean from walking further away.
"Hey, if you're going to ask me if I'm okay, you don't have to." Dean says.
"Okay, it's just that you didn't talk a whole lot on the ride here." Sam says.
"Look, Michael bailed. I don't know why and don't know how. He just cleared out. Now, as far as my memory goes, I mean, everything from the second I said yes to the moment I walked through those doors is a blank." Dean says as they walk towards the library. "So, I'm good. I'm just really, really happy to be... home." He looks around the crowded library and war room.
"Yep, there have been a few changes made." Sam says.
"Roomy." Billy sarcastically comments.
A man sees them.
"Yeah. Not Michael anymore." Dean tells him.
"Right. Chief told us. Welcome back." The hunter says, walking away.
"Chief?" Dean asks his brother.
"Oh, yeah. Samuel went big-time leader while you were off." Billy says.
"Shut up." Sam gently shoves the younger man. "I asked them not to call me that." He tells Dean.
"Dean?" Jack walks over.
"Hey, kid." Dean greets.
"Is it really you?" Jack asks.
"Yeah." Dean nods. Jack looks at Sam who nods. Cas walks over, standing by Jack.
Jack smiles and hugs Dean who pats him on the back and Jack pulls away.
"Dean." Cas says.
"Cas." Dean nods in greeting.
"I'm sorry. I wanted to be there, but we feared that Michael would sense my presence." Cas says.
"Sam told me. Ain't no thing." Dean says.
"Where's--" Jack's question is cut off as they hear an excited squeal that the brothers and Billy would recognize anywhere.
Daphne ditches her Uno game with Lennox and rushes over, tackling Dean in a hug, her arms going around his shoulders.
"Whoa." Dean catches her, hugging her back. "Hey, Tigger." He places a quick kiss to the side of her head before letting her down.
"You're back." She grins.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm here." Dean softly smiles, ruffling her hair.
Daphne hugs him again, this time around his middle and Dean loosely wraps an arm around her.
"Dude, I didn't even get that much excitement. What the hell?" Billy grumbles.
"You were injured." Daphne reasons. "Wait. Shit. Are you injured?" She pulls away from Dean worriedly.
"No, no, I-I'm fine, sweetheart." Dean assures.
"Where's Mary?" Jack asks. Daphne hugs Billy, glad he's back in one piece.
