I know this is a couple days late but man, I've had a long week already. I live in Texas and if you don't know Texas is getting hammered with rain and severe weather. Monday evening about 6:45 an EF2 tornado formed a mile from my house. It was 19.4 miles long and was 600 yards wide. It was on the ground for 19 minutes. The tornado went right through my fiancés grandpas front yard. They called telling us that the were hit by the tornado and they have a whole in their roof. It took us over two hours to get to them because we had to cut and pull at least ten trees out of the road. It was a long night for me. It also hit the town that we live the closest too. So yesterday, we spent literally all day repairing the house, building a new well shed, and clearing a huge tree that was in their backyard and on their fence. So here is a bonus chapter. Better late than never, right? Anyways enjoy!

Milly looked over at Jake and rolled her eyes. "Seriously, Jake? You are going to burn the house down. You told me you were a mean cookie first time we met. I can see by mean you meant terrible."
He glanced over at Milly and gave her a goofy lovestruck grin. "What! This is how it's done."
There was an echo of laughter. "Jason, is he being serious?"
Jason laughed and shook his head as he passed out another round of beers. Milly rolled her eyes and sat down next to Alice. "He's killing me. Our parents will just have to eat leftover Chinese food."
Alice chuckled softly as she took a swig of her beer. "Jake will figure it out. He has a lot of learning to do. Before you came along, he ordered take out every night or had someone else feed him."
Milly looked at Alice skeptically. Jake learning how to cook in their new house? That was a scary idea. She couldn't afford for their house to burn down. Before she could do anything else, his parents entered the back yard.
"Hey, Sharon. Hey, Steven." Milly greeted Jake's parents. She knew today was hard on Steven. One time when he was overseas he lost half of his convey.
They smiled brightly when they saw Milly. "Hey, Mils. Is good seeing you again. Is our son treating you good?"
Milly laughed. "Yes ma'am. He's been great." They eventually told his parents the truth and when they learned that they were actually in love and doing fantastic, they couldn't have been happier.
"That's good."
"Ya, but your son may need some help." Milly took the bags from Steven and carried them inside. Sharon was right behind her.
As Milly began cutting the tomatoes, Sharon poured herself a glass of wine. "Milly, would you like a glass?"
Milly shook her head as another voiced chimed in. "I would love a glass." Milly glanced over at her mother who had walked in carrying a tray of fruits and veggies.
Alice chimed in, "I would love a glass as well."
"Milly, since when do you not want a glass of wine?" Milly turned around to face the three women. Now was a good as time as any.
"Since I found out I was pregnant." The three woman screamed as they ran over to embrace Milly. Jake, Steven, Jason, and Giovanni all walked into the kitchen carrying a plate of burgers and hot dogs. They all exchanged scared looks and internally debated about turning around and walking back outside.
Jake walked over and kissed Milly on the forehead. "What's with all the fussing," Milly's father, Giovanni, asked.
Milly beamed up at Jake before turning to the two men who were going to have another grand baby. "Jake and I are expecting."
Steven raised an eyebrow before grinning. "Congratulations." Her father walked over to her and squeezed her tightly. "Can't wait to meet her."
"Or him," Jake chimed.
Sharon was the next to speak. "Now that you are expecting, when do you want to have the wedding?"
Jake and Milly looked at each other before Milly nodded. "Well, mom. We were thinking this August, at the family home?"
"Three months to plan a wedding? Okay. We can do this."
For the next three hours, as they ate and remembered the lives of everyone who has been lost, they started planning a wedding. They could do this.
Milly sat back in her chair and watched as her family interacted with Jakes. It made her happy that all the people she loved were under one roof. She placed a hand on her stomach where something else was growing everyday. December couldn't come soon enough. She was ready to begin her forever.
