Y/n's mind ran crazy once she passed through the tall door that was at the top of the stairs. There were stairs everywhere, ranging from on the floor, walls, and even the ceiling. It was never-ending, and she felt sick. As she looked over the ledge, he appeared.

He saw her surprised face, almost smirking at it. "How you turn my world you precious thing," he spoke to her. He moved back while she looked around, both for him and Toby. "You starve and near exhaust me," Without her knowledge, Jareth had moved behind her. He slowly approached her and stopped right at her neck.

"Everything I've done, I've done for you," he whispered. Y/n swung her head around, getting chills from the air on her neck. When she looked around, she saw nobody. "I move the stars for no one." Y/n heard the pattering of feet on the tiles, rushing away from her. She moved back from the edge slowly, taking in her surroundings.

"You run so long, you run so far." Y/n jumped when he grabbed her arm from behind. She avoided eye contact and struggled against him. "Your eyes can be so cruel..." a crystal was slowly brought into her avoiding vision.

"Just as I can be so cruel," He tossed it over the edge and she heard it hit some of the stairs from below. It stopped suddenly and Y/n looked over the edge. "Though I do believe in you."

Y/n choked on her breath seeing him. "Toby!" she cried out, seeing the baby with the crystal in his hands. She looked to the side and rushed towards the stairs that went down, trying to find him.

"Yes I do...live without the sunlight, love without your heartbeat..." Jareth whispered from a ledge above Y/n. His eyes stared intently at her form and he knew it...

"I can't live within you..." his eyes glossed over as it was all coming out.

He was in love with her.

Toby was a good crawler. Y/n knew that too. "Toby come on. Come to Y/n!" she called out, following the different stairs. Whether she would be upside down to him or facing the side.

She looked over the edge to see him right below her. It wasn't that big of a drop. So with all of her courage, Y/n gripped the edge, hung from the floor, and let go.

Y/n slowly sat up and looked around. She felt soft fabric between her clenched fingers. Where was she?

As she took in more of the room, she came to realize that it was a bedroom. Fill with pillows, blankets, and lavish furniture. Suddenly, he appeared. "Give me the child..." Y/n started, remembering the words from the play.

"Y/n beware...I have been generous up until now, but I can be cruel." he started, walking closer to her sitting form.

She scoffed at his words. "Generous? What have you done that's generous?" she questioned, getting annoyed.

"Everything!" Y/n flinched from the echo of his voice. It was loud and demanding. "Everything that you wanted I have done.....you asked to run through my kingdom, and I guided you here....you coward before me, I was frightening...I have reordered time, I have turned the world upside down, and I have done it all for you...I'm exhausted from living up to your expectations, isn't that generous?" he finished his long rant, sighing to let off tension.
