Alma had been committed, she died just a week after entrance. Kit had visited almost every day after, i didn't understand why

Julia started to call me her mother, i still reminded her of Alma and how we should keep her in mind

When the baby's were six and a half, kit brought back a familiar face. It was judy

We detoxed her, kept her fed until she was okay to walk on her own

Lana winters had written her book, it had become wildly popular. I even read it

Me and kit had a copy in our bedroom, he went to her book signing once

Judy had her episodes, she'd fall back into her "sister Jude" era

She'd hit kit, scream at me and scare the kids but somehow they could calm her down

One day, during one of her episodes. The kids took her outside and into the forest. She came backs. Whole new woman

Jude taught me and kit how to dance. "Men on the left and women on the right. Because women are always right" she'd say

Her condition worsened every passing day but her last six months with us were her best. Me and kit had mastered dancing, the kids had learnt quite a few things. She even cooked for us some nights

But one fateful day, kit was working in his garden and i was in the kitchen preparing something for Jude to eat

Kit walked past me and took the trey

"This smells nice"
He smiled as he walked into her room

I cleared up. after a few minutes, the kids ran past me and out into the yard

"Honey"
Kit Called me, i walked in. Jude looked pale, i sat on the end of her bed

"Kit walker, You're a lucky man. You better not screw them up"
She started, kit wiped away a tear
"Y/n walker, you're an even luckier woman. Keep him in check. You're chief of the house, understand? Don't let him boss you around"

Me and kit chuckled, i crossed my legs and nodded

"We're here"
Kit said, knowing it was judes time
"We're not gonna leave you alone"

"I'm not alone"
She said, tears forming in her own eyes
"She's here for me"

I knew what she was talking about

"Tell her i said hi"
I sniffed, Jude smiled and looked in front of herself
"Thank you Jude, for everything"

Tears formed in my eyes, i felt her pass. The room was empty. It felt empty. She had moved on

I burst into tears, Jude was the mother figure i had always wanted

Kit stood up and walked around to me

"It's going to be alright"
He said, his hand on my shoulder

-

It had been a few months after Jude died, we had become accustom to the life without her

The kids missed her and so did i, we had an unexpected knock at the door

Me and kit walked up to it and opened it, Lana.. my grandmother stood by the frame

"Kit, y/n"
She smiled
