It had been at least twenty, me and kit were in our fourties' and were happy. We had made Lana winters be the godmother to our kids

Lana was a law professor at Harvard, Julia was a leading neurodivergent at Johns Hopkins

Kit had developed pancreatic cancer, i was there with him until he disappeared. I presumed the aliens took him

I knew what i had to do, i had to go back in time and stop myself from going to the asylum. It was the right thing to do after all

After i cut my losses, i traveled to the time where it all started

A woman who looked like me walked towards me, she looked as if she was in her early or mid forties

"Hey, bozo"
She greeted me

"No way"
I smiled, she was me
"What the hell happened?"

"Well... first of all, just go back to the present. It's not worth all the hassle. Second, you know kit walker?"
She asked

"Yes?"
I nodded
"The guy who was framed by our grandad?"

"Yeah, uhh.. funny story. We have kids with him"
She sighed

"What?!?"
I gasped
"No way"

"Yeah, we pretty much replaced grace. I feel kinda bad about it all. Anyway, morel of the story.. it's not worth it. Just go back to our normal time"
She shook her hands

"Can i at least know what the kids look like?"
I asked, she pulled out a photo of her, kit and two kids and gave it to me

"You'll get all of the memory's once i disappear or whatever so just... chill?"
She said, holding out her hand

I took it, she vanished and my brain was flooded with the memories

"Woah"
I said, taking in everything
"Holy shit, I'm, like, wise now"

I went back to 2013, there was something left for me to do. I was supposed to be a 17 year old girl in that year.. i was close enough to looking like i did then

I snuck onto the set where Lana filmed her final interview and where she was supposed to kill my father

I waited until everyone had gone home and when things got heated

I listened to the whole conversation, with my new knowledge of what actually happened

"That's why i gave you up, so you'd have some shot at life"
Lana said

"So you had a chance at life, you mean!"
My dad stood up and yelled at Lana
"Right? This fancy life! Without me!"

He knocked a glass on the floor, i ran into the room

"Dad! No!"
I stopped him

"Y/n? What are you doing here?"
My fathers tone softened
"Go home, sweetheart"

"No, dad!"
I said
"You don't get it! Oliver was a bad, bad man!"

Lana looked at me

"Is sue your biological daughter?"
She asked

"Yes"
He snapped

"Dad, i.. i saw it happen"
I frowned
"I saw what he did to her"

"Did you- after i told you to never do something like that again?"
He was getting angry again

"Dad! Please don't do this.. she'll shoot you with your own gun"
I sobbed
"Let it go! She ready did want the best for you, i was there!"

My dad frowned

"Come home, please"
I begged
"Please, just leave Lana alone"

"She made my life hell-"

"You have a new life!"
I protested
"One with me! Your daughter! You'd risk your life for- for some silly grudge?"

He sighed, knowing what i said was true

"Just stop, think about what your doing"
I wiped away tears
"I want my dad alive! I want him to be in my life, see me get married! Please"

He nodded and walked away

"Meet you in the car"
He said, walking out the room

I composed myself, and wiped away the tears

"Always works"
I sniffed

"That.. was an act?"
She asked

"Yeah, duh"
I shrugged
"I'm not even from this time, i just don't want you to kill him"

She nodded

"Is this the timeline where grace and kit got together?"
I asked, she nodded

"Okay good, i was worried that i might have fucked it up"
I sighed in relief

"Why? What did you do?"
She asked

"Instead of falling in love with grace, he fell for me instead"
I said

"Didnt alma kill grace? What happened?"
She asked, pointing to a seat in front of her

"I knew everything already, because i came from the future. I wanted to.. i dunno, i just wanted an adventure i suppose"
I shrugged
"Anyway, i knew want was gonna happen and so i dodged her axe. I'm a pro"

"And.. you're my granddaughter?"
She asked

"Yep"
I nodded
"I better get going"

I stood up and left
