(Homura s pov)
It's early morning I can tell by the yellowly light shining through the white hospital curtains. I grab my glasses and get prepared for the doctors to come in and give me breakfast. Hospital food,I hate it and I've been eating it for a year now. I miss real food. I hear somebody knock at the door lightly. "C-come in!" I say. The doctor comes in with breakfast,Pancakes and eggs. They hand me the tray and sit down.
"Homura we have huge news for you.." they say looking into my eyes. "Yes?" I say. I got worried,really worried. "Today you are going back to school." A gasp escaped my lips. School..? "Why..?" I ask. "No time to explain its 6:00 it's time to get ready I'll be back with morning medicine." I get up quickly and see a uniform sitting down. I'll admit,I am very nervous..like REALLY nervous I haven't been to school in a year..
I used to go to a private catholic school in Tokyo. Because of my condition I was admitted here in mitakihara hospital. So I guess I'm going to mitakihara middle school..beside the hospital lays a big futuristic school known as mitakihara middle school. I put on the button up the uniform and brush my hair I grab my favorite purple ribbons and braid my hair and put on my glasses and grab my bag. The doctor walks in. "You look perfect." He says handing me my medicine. I press the G button on the elevator hoping today will be okay.
At least I'm out and free again I think. I notice nobody is out at the entrance I'm quite late. I'm glad. As I walk in I go up the stairs to class one the teacher notices me outside the door and welcomes me in and silents the class. "Class i'd like to introduce all of you to our newest transfer student Homura Akemi." I write my name down on the board with shaky hands..she points me to my seat I look and..I see the girl from my dreams. I almost gasp but I hold it in. Trying to make things less awkward I smile at her. I sit down and think to myself..who is this girl? And why do I keep dreaming about her.
(School break)
Its break finally..I sit down at my desk and stare at the floor suddenly millions of girls hoard my desk and start asking me questions i answer as many as I can. Oh yeah..I need to take my medicine. Before I could stand up the girl from my dreams stands up. "Homura Akemi,the teacher has sent me to take you to the nurses office for your medicine." She says smiling I stand up and she grabs my hand softly. Whats happening..? Why am I feeling tingly..her hand is warm and her skin is soft I begin to blush. "Uh-uhm what's your name?" I mutter. "Oh my name? Madoka kaname!" she says.
"Madoka means flower right?" I ask she nods her head "mhm! Homura means flame,what a unique first name! You were blessed with a beautiful name!" She responds i blush she likes my name..? Why am I so drawn to this girl? Its like we are connected in some way. "Homura..flame..like flaming with passion!!" She exclaims. "Ill admit..im not like that at all.." I admit. "What??? You were blessed with such a cool name! Gotta live up to it!" She stops and says.we arrive at the nurses office and I take my medicine.
After school
While walking thoughts cloud my brain. Thoughts of despair..im worthless I'll admit it..I cant do anything I cant even answer simple questions at school I cant run I can only walk but that hurts too..I cant even be as cool as my name.. "you should just kill yourself!" I hear in my head. Maybe I should..I stop at the bridge and suddenly the world looks..different..my surroundings..unfamiliar I see these monster like creatures marching over to me. I couldn't hold it in I screamed as loud as I can. I cover my mouth and try to catch my breathe..what is this?! Im dreaming right?
BOOM
I hear gunshots. The monsters paused and looked I turned around and noticed Madoka wearing a diffrent outfit with a bow and arrow. She's wearing the same outfit..in my dreams.what? What's going on? I notice another girl with yellow curly pigtails with a huge gun! "Tiro finale!" She yells. "Welp! Guess our secrets out!"Madoka said. "What..?" I ask
At mami Tomoes apartment
" well..I should probably properly Introduce myself, I am mami tomoe and,I am a magical girl!" Says the girl "what?" I say confused..what does she mean "magical girl" like in the animes? Madoka giggles I notice she's holding a white creature. "Kyubey could you explain?" She asks the creature. "I-its alive..?" I ask "yes of course!"says madoka! " "magical girls" are girls are girls who have formed a contract with a messenger of magic, and in exchange gained the power of magic. Beings charged with the task of combating witches." The creature explained. "Contract?" I say "a contract with me of course! You make a wish and your contract is sealed with me. See those gems they are holding those are soul gems! They are made by a contract and it is a magical girls duty to protect it." The creature responded. "A witch..was that the thing I encountered" I ask "yes..and it was really dangerous..you could of died.." Mami said. "What is a witch exactly?" I ask again. "Witches are creatures that feed off of despair and spread darkness. Witches will affect humans near them through the use of a Witch's Kiss. They live in labyrinths, an abstract place where they can hide. Once a witch is defeated of by a magical girl, they will drop a Grief Seed, which Magical Girls use to control the darkness in their Soul Gem. Witches are also known to train an apprentice to defend themselves or maintain their magical power. An apprentice can eventually grow into a new Witch by defeating 3 Magical Girls." The creature explains. "Wait your soul gem gets dark? And you have to clear it?" I say.
"Yes which is why we fight witch's for grief seeds!" Says madoka. "Hmm madoka,how about we let homura come on some witch hunts with us?" Mami says. "Really? That would be so cool!" Madoka responds. "Would you like to come?" Madoka says with a excited tone. "Oh uh...Sure!" I say im nervous,scared snd worried but id like to see what magical girls really do! I kindly accepted the offer.
First hunt
I woke up early this morning and prepared myself. This is dangerous work. And im up to follow and go with them. I walk into the elevator and quickly press the button quickly and rush to mamis apartment and ring the doorbell. "Hello? Homura?" Answers a voice. They open the door and peek out. "Oh homura! You are early! Madoka hasn't arrived yet come in and have a seat!" Said mami politely. I walk in and take a seat. "Would you like a cup of tea?" Asks mami I nod my head in reply. She hands me a white gold lined tea cup full of fresh warm tea. I take a sip, its amazing. I drink the full cup in half a minute and we then hear a knock on the door. "Come in!" Shouts mami.
Madoka walks in. She smells the air. "Ooh mami did you brew some tea? Could I please have some?" Madoka asks. "Of course!" Says mami pouring her cup. We sit down and discuss school and how happy we were that its the weekend. "Well..is everyone ready?" Asks mami me and madoka nod our heads. "R-ready!" I exclaim. Mami shuts the door behind us and we walk a bridge. "Mami why is your soul gem shining so bright?" I ask curiously. "A witch is very close!" Responds mami. The soul gem glows brighter and brighter every single step we took finally mami then transformed into her magical girl form along with madoka entering the labyrinth.The labyrinth is terrifying and dangerous definitely the witch appears roses appear everywhere and its minions with mustaches circle around us mami spawns her guns and shoots them off one got to me..and then madoka shot it with a flaming pink arrow she gently grabs my hand and leads me to the other side and arrows shoot everywhere towards the witch.
Suddenly the witch explodes and the labyrinth slowly disappears. "Madoka..you saved me.." I mutter. I feel safe with madoka she's amazing..
